In an overtime thriller, Clemson loses by a field goal to UAB 33-30. This wrapped the Tigers' up-and-down season with a 7-6 overall record. Great tourney! Can't wait for next year. Thanks Rodent.

Could you post the final RPI rankings? I'm sure I dropped from #25 after the loss, but it would be cool to see where each team finished based on RPI.

next season can we please not play games on maps that kill troops on the first turn like dust bowl? I am talking about the neutral field games. Team home games can and should be played on any map of the home teams desire. Said maps are not fair for players that get a majority of those regions to start out with.

Yeah, I'll look for a way to avoid those. Maybe I'll reserve the Classic map for neutral field games.

The semifinals have been sent out. I'll update the bracket and post game links when I get home.

I still wouldn't do all neutral games on classic. I like the idea of each bowl having a different map. Maybe the playoffs all on classic though? or the regional games on the region maps with the semi's on usa and finals on classic, or whatever, just some variation of it? Or are the playoffs home and away? I don't even know. Great tourney though Rodent. Loved it throughout. hate barely missing playoffs but I'll get 'em next season. Thanks for running. can't wait for the college football to come back next season.

I think if it makes sense for a regional game to be played there, you should put it there. I actually think that dust bowl is a very unique map in that it gives the first player the least advantage of almost any map I can think of. Yeah, it sucks when you're territs are all in the middle. But that's just a different kind of luck.

I would bet that dust bowl has less of a first turn advantage than other maps ... but I'm not going to go try to figure that out.

Thank you guys for making this a fun tournament. I especially want to thank those of you who finished the tournament despite struggling with losing seasons. That takes dedication to the game, and if everyone with losing records goes "screw it, I quit", then this tournament doesn't work.

About halfway through the season I made some predictions on the conference races. Let's see how I did.

ACC
Rodent's pick: North Carolina over Boston College
Reality: Florida State over North Carolina

Big-12
Rodent's pick: Iowa State
Reality: Iowa State

Big East
Rodent's pick: West Virginia
Reality: West Virginia

Big Ten
Rodent's pick: Michigan over Indiana
Reality: Ohio State over Michigan

Conference USA
Rodent's pick: Tulsa over Southern Miss
Reality: Tulsa over Southern Miss

MAC
Rodent's pick: Ball State over Buffalo
Reality: Buffalo over Ball State

Mountain West
Rodent's pick: Boise State
Reality: Colorado State

PAC-12
Rodent's pick: Stanford over USC
Reality: Stanford over Arizona State

SEC
Rodent's pick: South Carolina over Arkansas
Reality: Mississippi State over South Carolina

Sun Belt
Rodent's pick: Florida International
Reality: Middle Tennessee

WAC
Rodent's pick: Louisiana Tech
Reality: Louisiana Tech

Independents
Rodent's pick: BYU makes the playoffs
Reality: BYU made (and won) the playoffs

How'd I do:
Division champions: 8/12 picks correct
Conference champions: 5/11 picks correct
Total: 13/23 (plus the BYU pick makes 14/24 correct)

But check this out, during my news release about how ridiculous the preseason rankings were, I had Texas coach Mack Brown tweeting that Texas would go 3-9. Check out Texas' record. 3-9. Is that weird or what?
