If you are killed you will kill the killer too. If you are shot at night your killer will die too. If you are lynched the person who is last to vote will die with you.

Night 4 Scene

Nebuchadnezer sat in his house. He knew his only chance of the town surviving this thing was for the mafia to be dumb and kill someone that he would protect. He hoped and thought of where he should go.

Before he could decide his door flew open. In strolled pershy and soundman. "Shit" said Neb. "Yup" laughed pershy before he ordered sound to kill him. Soundman pulled out his gin and shot Neb in the head 10 times.

"Lets get the other 2 now" pershy said "I'll get the cop and you take out Iron Butterfly".

Nebuchadnezer Town Doc has been killed.

codierose Town Cop has been end-gamed.

Iron Butterfly Vanilla Townie has been end-gamed.

pershy Mafia Godfather, soundman Mafia Goon and Ragian Mafia Framer have won.

Well it was a gamble...but lots of fun. I enjoyed being the outspoken power role. I figured I had to stay out front so that mafia would leave me alone. It's so tough to make those end game decisions. Until next game...oh wait, I'm in three other ones already...

Honestly...I think the biggest problem that faced town in the endgame was that the Town players had submarined so much through out the game we had no clue who to trust. I really beleived DJ was lieing.

We had it down to the four. I perhaps would have beleived DJ if he had been more involved with the game. He says he helped save the cop but with only one post in that debate it looked more scummy then helpful. I think that goes for several Town. To only make strong cases when your about to be lynched or pressured doesnt help other players beleive your Town. The game is not just about hunting for mafia it is also about convincing fellow townies your one of the good guys *grin* without getting hung in the process.

I learned a lot on this one.

1. Trust your instincts. I had Pershy nailed day one, and let him off. Bad Neb.
2. Do not follow the "veterans" because they are "veterans." Everyone starts the game on the same level/knowledge as town. They can flail around as much as any newb.
3. NEVER base your judgements on what players' roles can be in a game based on past games. Every game is unique.
4. Town will eat town. Don't be afraid to make a 180 degree turn in the middle of a case/argument to catch mafia submarining.
5. If you are town...SPEAK UP! You are there to help, not sit back and be a spectator!

OMG that was close!!!
You guys totally had us against a wall. I was at a conference yesterday and checking on my phone and when I saw it was still L-2 I got my vote in hoping that Mob who I knew was townie would hammer. Of course DJ could have been lying and it could have been me and DJ or SM and DJ as the last 2 mafia as far as Mob was concerned and he would have cleared himself.

As the last 2 mafia SM and I were being squeezed and if I hadn't got my vote in 1st I dunno how I would have tried to get out of hammering DJ. Was making me nervous which is why I was checking the thread while at the conference. We were indeed being squeezed like a boa constrictor. Our only hope was to get lucky - which we did. Also it was incredibly lucky for us there was a bomb in the game to take out an extra townie or we would never have done it.

Well done all, this was my first time on the main forum and it was great to be playing with some really great serious mafia players. I really enjoyed it but it's tough playing as mafia against such a good crowd. I felt bad for trying to get Cat and others lynched and out of the picture when I knew they were innocent.

Good to see that it was a nice close game. Balance was pretty good then.

As I told dazza, the bomb is a real x-factor, can either help or hurt town. Looks like it hurt town in this case, which was probably the deciding factor.
