Mailing lists

Post by Aradhus »

I get quite a few pms for games(the mass pms where lots of people get them), but I've never put my name down on any mailing list(to my knowledge), just wondering how that comes about?

No explanation at all. Nobody has a clue how I got on a mailing list that I didn't put my name down for?

I get them from people simply because I've played against them in games so they invite me to their private ones

OK, How do I get off these mailing lists? I'm sick to death of people sending me pms to games that I have zero history or interest in playing. I don't play freestyle games, why do I get invites to freestyles games?

This is fucking ridiculous. There has to be something I can do about this.

Ask the senders to take you off their mailing list.

If that doesn't work, report the PMs as spam by clicking on the triangle with the exclamation mark in it.

Sometimes if I've run a tournament previously and a new similar style, map and setting I will pm the old participants. Not often and anyone who asks stops receiving.

But I make sure it's not drastically different either, if you've never played a freestyle tournament of mine before (as an example) you'd never receive a mailing list invite for one.
