It was my last day home, sue me.

Anyway, the rooster crows crowed and everyone in Ponyville woke up as the sun shined through the sky. That is except for Rainbow Dash.
"Would you hush up I'm trying to sleep here!" Rainbow complained.
No. I have a scene to write that I don't really want to write.
"But your scenes are fun to read!" Pinkie happily said.
All of the rest of the ponies looked at her with an angry glare.
"We ponies may be nice but not that nice," Twilight bluntly pointed out.
"But!" Pinkie argued.
"You know none of this is really important," Spike said. "Don't we have some kidnappings to sort out?"
"Right!" Twilight said. "That means we need a headcount!" Twilight then pulled out a really long checklist with every single pony from ponyville on it. Her friends all rolled their eyes figuring just how like Twilight it was to have a list like that. She started checking everyone off the list as she went through each member that stood in front of her. She then noticed two new absenses.
"Where's Sweetie Belle, and that chicken that always hangs around her?" Twilight asked.
"Sweetie Belle?" RArity asked looking worried as soon as Twilight said it. "PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT SWEETIE BELLE WAS KIDNAPPED," RArity pleaded grabbing TWilight's hoof and shaking it around.
"I'm afraid if they aren't here or at their homes they have to be."
"Then to her room we shall go!"
Rarity run to her sisters room but when the mare returned by herself and with a scowl on her face they could tell what happened.
"How was it?" Pinkie asked still smiled.
"That sister!" Rarity growled before placing a parcement in front of the mane 6.
"The Cutie Mark Crusaders had to use this chaos for cutie marks?" Applejack asked.
"It seems so but I don't fully get it," Rarity replied.
"I don't know what to do, I guess we'll have to go on with the news," Twilight replied. Applebloom shyed away from the conversation.

It appears there are 3 ponies belonging to the CMC group. I don't really understand the purpose of it.

According to the OP soundman and medefe are the killed players. It looks like they belonged to the same faction but I don't know if this faction is to be considered a mason group or a mafia faction, it looks like they don't have a kill anyway unless the busdriver redirected the kill.

I'm going to reread yesterday with this in mind, although I don't really know what I am looking for.

On a quick re-read it seems that soundman and medefe were avoiding association quite strongly. During the early stages of the day medefe posted a lot and soundman was quiet, in the middle stages the roles were reversed. Soundman was markedly on my side in the gambit feud where as medefe was markedly against me, despite this the two never directly disagreed. I would say that this hints at them knowing that the other one is in their faction and trying to avoid showing that association.

The connection may initially seem obvious, although I think upon closer inspection it yields an interesting conclusion. Whenever two players are associated they would not wish to appear so, even as masons, however I think a strong disassociation such as this one hints at a form of underlying guilt and it is quite probable that the CMC faction has a sole win condition. In addition to this, soundman is described as a "grunt" in his role, which to me suggests action-less but in a negative way. Maybe I am reading too much into the connotations of the word.. idk. Also the fact MeDeFe was a roleblocker (a typically mafia role) and that someone who is likely townie (dazza) was blocked hints at this further.

So what is the conclusion of this? The CMC faction is undesirable and that the third member should be lynched if found.

However, there are three complications to this.

1. They may not have a kill. Unless a busdriver switched one of them or their kill was blocked then they clearly don't. However, it is notable that neither soundman nor medefe talked towards the end of the day, this could suggest that either mafia were playing safe or there was in fact some bussing involved in the kills.

2. If we kill off the last of them, we may make the other mafia faction too powerful to stop.

3. They don't sound evil in their description. Although this could be due to the fact there aren't many evil characters in MLP.

This is all very strange.

If they really are mafia, this means that on N1 the busdriver successfully redirected a mafia kill back to mafia AND the vig/SK also hit mafia? Well, that would be nice

On the other hand, if they're not mafia, trying to hunt down the last member(s) of the CMC will likely prove to be an unwelcome distraction. But if they're not mafia why did they block the recruiter?
I guess a second roleblocker is possible but seems kinda unlikely atm.

Remaining members of CMC, if you're not scum then your group has likely just been severely crippled. If it is possible for you to win together with town you might want to consider stepping forward and giving us any info you have.

If Chicken is in fact the role, perhaps it is essentially the same as hider? It sounds like a logical connection. MeDeFe didn't look like a likely kill target and since they were in the same faction this kinda makes sense to hide behind him. Its possible doc stopped other kills or maybe we have a cult..

Hmm, between the two dead there seems to be one joke vote, one vote on an in game concept, and a bit of semantic debating ending in no real action, typical laying low behavior it seems. If we can assume that the cutie mark crusaders are indeed a scum faction (which I'm honestly no sure of) then I possibly owe you an apology PMC, your move seems to have unlocked an entirely different tell than intended, but a good lead none the less. It has given scummies an opportunity to give activity without drawing attention, I now suspect we will be able to find scum based on the following criteria:

1. Did not vote, or joke voted without later providing any serious intent on action

2. Argued for or against PMC's tactics without really calling anyone out

pmc, you don't think the scum would also consider that and feel free to use it if it's a legitimate town tactic to call for a random lynch again? Either the bandwagon works and a townie dies or has to claim, or another townie who picked up on a scumtell is suddenly scummy because they picked up on a scumtell and a "case" can be brought against them. It's too much of a win-win situation for the scum if you start considering joke BWs a legitimate tactic.

Well I never thought that PMC was serious. In fact I thought he was down right joking when he made that post. Which made it interesting to see who jumped on him for making that comment. I have to agree with him, it did generate quite a bit of discussion which is needed the most on day one. (Sorry I haven't posted much. Been super busy the past week with a bunch of competitions). The discussion generated seems to be dying down now and I don't have anything of real substance to add. However I find it slightly suspicious that Dazza is now the only one still voting for PMC.

Now anyways, like I said, I'm not honestly sure of of the CMC's goals, but I do feel regardless of alignment, this is the kind of behavior we should look for in scum.

Well my teams dead. That really, really sucks. I'm Applebloom. The CMC team are a masoned survivor faction. We win if we make it to endgame. MeDeFe is a role blocker and I'm kinda like a jailor except I protect the team by building a clubhouse that protects us from night actions (which I spent last night building). Soundman kinda got screwed because he was basically a vanilla survivor. I think the intent was for us to survive to endgame where we could pretty much pick sides.

Anyways, there are much more treacherous villains in FiM and the CMC are by no means evil.
