Lol, I am sure that there are some more miscounts out there, but I think the results are pretty accurate. I am more concerned with the standings rather than the number of wins. Your games were not all over when I made that post. Though, you already had enough wins to surpass five other teams in your group, you still wouldn't of had enough to surpass magiw & robbieDub, even if you won all of your remaining games.

Also, remember that it doesn't matter how many wins you got in the Preliminary Round- as long as you advanced. Everyone who advanced, will be starting with a clean slate in the next round. You will be playing different opponents in the Quarter Finals. Only your results in the Quarter Finals will be considered to help you advance.


If anyone feels that the standings in their group are incorrect, please let me know asap.

There are 7 teams per group, every team plays 12 games -> 7x12 = 84. Divide that by 2 and you got number of games in each group = 42

There doesn't need to be a tie-breaker for Group D. I already explained how that tie was broken.

What do you mean by balance? Balanced in what way?

The teams in the quarterfinals will be random, just as the preliminary groupings were random. Only difference is that you won't be playing against a team that you played in the prior round.

Forget about whether you were #1, #2, or #3. It doesn't matter!

Technically, yes all first teams can meet in the quarterfinals.

Remember- the point of the preliminaries was to get to the next round, not to get "first place." No such thing. There will be no "first place" team until the very last round. The only "first" is the team that wins the whole tourney.

Everyone who moved through to the quarterfinals will have an equal chance to win.

The semi-final round will not start until the proper winners have been determined from the Quarter-Final round. This can take up to two weeks.

I can point out something from there:

5. Update your tournament thread regularly. We cannot stress this enough. Players that have signed up to play in your tournament will not like to be left wondering what is going on. Even if there are no newly completed games or any changes to make to the standings, post in your thread that there is nothing new to report. Tournament Organizers who are respected always make sure their players are up to speed on even the smallest of details.

6. Make sure to record game results on a regular basis. Even if your tournament has 400 games and only 4 or 5 have been completed, the players will want to know. Trust us on this one. Also, it is easier to stay on top of things if you do small things on a frequent basis.

Perhaps since you applied for being tournament organizer you should at least do you job properly, or ask for help if you can't.

If you actually have a valid complaint- feel free to consult one of the TD's.

However no rules have been broken, and this has been a fair tournament. I have enjoyed it immensely so far.

Why would I ask for any amount of info besides what is stated in the thread? That makes no sense. And of course, anyone who hosts a tourney has to do so according to the rules. As long as you don't break a rule, I'd have no issue.

What etiquette? This is quite laughable as you have been unnecessarily rude to me. All I expressed is for someone to send me a wall message or pm if they want the fastest reply. Now why you had an issue with that is truly puzzling. It feels as though you are trying to start conflict for no reason at all. I thought etiquette was defined as being proper, polite and courteous to all.

Like I said, if you think I did something wrong here, take it up with a TD, and I'm sure they will mediate whatever issue there is. You have yet to say what your actual issue is, but obviously, something is bothering you. And it certainly has to be more than me saying, out of niceness, that you should wall or pm me, if you don't want to have to wait a few days to get a response.

So, either we can meet with a TD and work this out peacefully, so this tourney can resume in harmony.

Yes, there was supposed to be a bracket starting for the Quarter-Final round, but I have been unable to make one. I went to a few bracket sites, but none seemed to have the bracket that fit my needs. Or, I am just inexperienced when it comes to using them. So, I will just have to type you the results.

I was hoping for a more balanced grouping than this. However, I had to group together teams who have never played each other so far in the tournament. This was the only possible matchup.
Each team will play the other teams in their group 5 times- making for 10 games total. The team who wins the most games in each group will advance to the finals.
