Fucking right! Nice one Arsenal, puts United a mighty 8 points clear, superior goal difference by +2 and only 6 games left! Taxi for Mancini methinks...

Mancini really sucks!

I think Ancelotti or Hedink would be perfect for City.

Mourinho for Man City ;)

I think the premiership is a worse place without Mourinho. He is the pantomime bady, the guy you love to hate.

He wanted to go to Liverpool before he went to Chelsea. If anyone needs the touch of The Special One right now, it's them. They're having a terrible domestic season. Jose at Liverpool would spice up the Premiership for sure, and I'd like to see if he could win anything with them, especially as they're probably not getting any European football next season.

In other news, Tottenham lose, Chelsea draw... 3rd is ours for the taking. There's talk of catching City, and the way they've been playing it's not impossible, but securing 3rd spot as quickly as possible is priority. If we were to catch City, it would be a very satisfying conclusion to our season.

Finally Arsenal do something right  and once again the A-hole that is balotelli gets sent off , he should have been sent off earlier for a horrendus leg breaker challenge.

so United 8 points ahead and league title number 20 all but assured :D

i dont think mancini should be sacked , he came close and shitty were nothing before he came along , any other season and the pts shitty has would be enough to win the title at this point.

Apparently Piers Morgan made a 10k bet against Nasri that Arsenal would get silverware before him. As unlikely as that is I hope he wins.

Speaking of Liverpool, worse game of the year. Should be 2 reds for the reds, a missed pk. Only reason why Liverpool is winning is Blackburn are that terrible.

Yeah, but you see if he was 3rd/4th all season and now jumped up to 2nd then yeah, that's good. But the fact that he was 1st and is now 8pts behind means something went horribly wrong and he just couldn't keep up and that looks worse than it actually is. Thus Sheikh Alladin or w/e could sack him.

Another twist in the title race, but Utd still 5 points clear. Arsenal pick up an easy win, we're gonna boss 3rd. :D

WHat happened to Tottenham? I don't follow the Premier much except for some games of Man Utd and Man City, but I liked to make comments to nagerous about the Spurs, but now that they are free falling I'm afraid to make one I think he' burst into tears.

Man Utd 4 - 0 Aston Villa

Routine performance by United made easy by a soft penality given within six minutes.Once again we win with scholes in the side Fergie should just play him every game and we'll never lose :D

yes they are long overdue but you have to fault the ref for awarding it in the first place it wasnt even close to being in yet he gave it just poor decision making.

Goal line technology is very much needed.

Great weekend of football imo, more to come tomorrow, hopefully a demolition job vs Wigan.

Not close?

Looks pretty close to me! But this is why we need the technology badly, so easy to see different things in a split second. Easy to have a go at the ref but I doubt I'd do any better looking at how close that is!

On to the important game of the 'weekend':

Southampton 1 - 3 Reading

Southampton dominated possession without ever really looking that much of a threat. Reading scored against the run of play after a fantastic cross by Kebe to Roberts. The goal was cancelled out just after half time by a deflected Lambert effort (that boy will be in the England squad soon, mark my words!).

2 mistakes by Southampton then gifted Reading the game. First, they were caught in possession by Le Fondre, who played the ball forward and then got on the end of the resulting cross for 2-1, then Fonte with a poor back header presented Le Fondre with his second in the last moments of the match.

Good day out, and I wasn't arrested :-)

you can see the 2nd picture is a bit delayed, i mean the 1st picture is some hudrends of a second after, look at the foot of the guy, in one picture is inside and in the second is at least 10 inches outside.

It might be photoshopped.

Wow, 2-0 Wigan after 7 minutes. Time to stand up and be counted Arsenal.

We clearly came into this game with the wrong mentality, and Wigan have quite rightly punished us.

Well, can't say much about that except well done Wigan. They'll stay up now, and the deserve it. With Chelsea away on Saturday, we're dropping ourselves back into the shit...

Then it's a different time. They might look at the same moment but there are differences if you pay attention.

To be honest though, I don't think I would like technology for that. I might change my mind if the technology adapts seamlessly and there's no stupid thing like going to a room to watch the cameras like in the NFL or MLB.

What I'd love to see is spray painting the line for the barrier in the free kicks in Europa, but make sure you use a good spray can like in Argentina and not a joke of foam like in Mexico. With the quality of players in Europa, a barrier at the right distance will make for a lot of goals, and team would stop making fouls close to the goal.

I don't watch rugby too much, but I've always liked their system of instant replay better than those used in American sports. They usually deliver decisions much, much quicker.

MLS also has started using the Argentina spray paint for free kicks, and honestly its got to be used everywhere. Something like that is so easy to cheat on and is easier to stop.
