I do my roles randomly. Sheep happened to get jester. So that's the role I gave him.

Jester is a crap role (although sheep did play it well). It is far too easy to get yourself lynched.

Actually it's not. As a more experienced player you may well get NK'd too early to actually get lynched. And if you claim jester, usually people won't lynch you as that would be a waste of time for the town.
