I pushed the deadline back because there was a relatively long joke stage.I realize there was a potential lynch in the making but figured that since I said I would be pushing it back that there was enough notice.

I'm there twice? o.e are you giving me a double vote power ghost? hahaha. But seriously, I'm not voting for Doom anymore, I'm on CMS for submarining and continuing to do so but more publicly now.

+1 to PMC's comment. CMS has a lost to add before he's excused.

Chap, your reasoning is incomprehensible. You are voting for me because you want a claim from me for no reason other that there was already a BW on me. You say you are keeping your vote on me until I claim but provide no reason as to why me out of all the players in the game. Obvious random pressure for no reason is obvious.

Nothing cm5 has said in the last 3 or so posts has done anything to make me reconsider voting him...

But in most games it is considered not a good thing if you see the doc is dropping hints as to his role, then you go and point it out. The doc role is pretty important,if you think you know who it is you generally keep it to yourself.

unless you think it is a fakeclaim or you are mafia.

and usually the person who calls them on it can only have one role to do that.
quick comment on this. if he is dropping hints cant anyone pick up on that. mafia might pick up on it hide it and then kill him as to disclose there tracks cause you wouldnt see who had what opinions on it. so im glad he said something about it otherwise mafia would keep it to themselves and kill him and we wouldnt know why. i dont think he is mafia (dont have a strong enough suspicion) but i do think he is worth persuing if nothing else comes up.

DoomYoshi wrote:Ok, jgordon. In clear English can you explain how you caught me skimming? You requested a modkill because I edited my own post. Now you are accusing me of skimming the fact that I edited my posts?

I will be honest jgordon. 90% I read but I am forced to ignore because your grasp of English is incomprehensible. I try to find the meaning in what you say, but you talk so much and so poorly that it usually ends up being more effort than it is worth. Right now I still can't understand what you are saying. You didn't catch anyone skimming, from what I saw, most players (including the mod) went back and checked whether or not I edited a post.
this post busts my gut cause he has been told plenty of times what the point of that was so in this post he pretty much digs himself a hole. he did it to see who was skimming i had one read through and i knew that. then you dis him on his english and i can read it fine maybe im on the same level of idiocy he is. except that i wouldnt soft claim doctor at all. so i guess im higher on the inteligence totem pole then he is. anyway i can understand everything. and yes he did catch someone skimming ...YOU you skimmed for pages not knowing what he said when even other people are trying to explain it to you. so for that vote doom

jgordon- i have no clue why you soft claimed doc and its confusing. i dont see your reasoning behind it at all. if you even gave one. you outed one of towns power roles right of the bat and its not gonna help us at all.

jak111-if doom comes up to not be a good candidate to lynch ill vote you because you said that you didnt care if you got killed.

Wow this is terrible.. there is so much more to comment on:

What do you think of the jgordon wagon?
What do you think of jak feeling like he needed to soft claim?
And of doom turning that into a hard claim?
Why don't you think spart is worth pursuing?
Who you do think is worth pursuing?

You need a good comeback post to excuse your submarining.
and im reallyyyy bored so ill answer these myself.

1.) i think i was on it and i dont think i had a good enough reason for doing so. but right now i think its a lost cause if we dont have someone else to persue.
2.) i think it was a dump idea. he really didnt have to claim at all. he outed our doc role. assuming he is the doc. but im glad doom caught it before mafia (assuming doomyoshi is town)
3.) well i think i said something about it earlier.
4.) i dont think he is worth persuing honestly. maybe i just missed it but i didnt see very strong evidence that wanted me to vote him. is it even a case yet?
5.) i think that there was a few FOS on pmc so we could look into that. we could look into the JG and Jak cases but i think there dry. or we could continue on doom. honestly any of these would be ok with me and i might start looking into one here soon.

LOL are you sure thats the response you want to leave in everyones mind clever?

Lets do something to someone, not sure who but its alright by me? and or at some ambiguos time I might or might not start a case of my own on someone.

This is exactly the opposite of what you guys should be doing right now. Get in and look at whats happened and do something. ARRRRGH horses and water.

you obvioulsy misunderstood something. i meant any one of the cases is fine by me if it can get more evidence or hold more water or whatever you want to call it. and i said i might look into one or two of those myself not that i would randomly do it. so argh your own horsed and water mines are fine.

What he's saying is make up your own mind and pick a side. The horses and water comment is "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". All this waffling really tells us nothing and is a great way for scum to hide.

What a terrible list. 3 of the people who have had any numbers of votes on them and are going no where right now, one who is a cleared doctor and then me... there were 2 FOSs on me, one was retracted and chap just shut up after I answered him. how can i make up my mind when there is barely a side to choose. i dont like a survivor claim. or a doc claim. i would rather lynch survivor for obvious reasons. i didnt know what he meant with the horses and water i thought he was just saying something random.

I can see my young padowan has taken some heat for sticking his hand in a cookie jar intended for milkshake...
but I must remind you all that he is more active and has contributed, whereas milkshake clearly hasn't.

I must say that S7C has been making some good comments, altho I have a few nit-picky things I want to point out:
young padowan wrote:1.) i think i was on it and i dont think i had a good enough reason for doing so. but right now i think its a lost cause if we dont have someone else to persue.
1. Which is why you unvoted. Good. If you don't know why you're placing your vote, don't.
4. If you think those cases are dry then why are they ok with you?
I see you plan on investigating further. I look forward to your next post(s).

Also, if a certain question(s) is directed at a certain someone, it is best to let them answer. Often someone else answering it before the intended answerer (is that even a word? if not, it is now) can foils the whole reasoning behind asking those certain questions to those specific players. Otherwise the person can come later and just say, "I was going to answer but S7C stole the words right out of my mouth." and get away with it (mostly).

But you are active :) and apparantly have way too much time on your hands :P

S7C, keep up the good posting. And try to improve ur grammar and spelling, will ya :P

Rodion wrote:@Shield and whoever it may concern - directing power roles is not inherently scummy. I do it all the time. Pancakemix hates me for this, but I find it effective when used appropriately (remember we only caught Epitaph in NBC Mafia because I directed everyone's night action?). Obvious things like "doctor, protect the cop" or "vig, kill the survivor/jester" are acceptable because most of the time they are the best possible actions to be taken. I'd even go ahead and suggest town watchers/busdrivers to target Jak to make sure we don't lose him (or in the case of a watcher at least get a free mafia since we'll know who killed him). Granted, vigging a known target is bad if mafia has a busdriver, but mafia busdrivers are a really rare role (Chap mentioned he saw a good ammount of those lately, could you please mention which games other than my FFVII one?).
Ok that explains it. PCM is my mentor so that explains why I think directing power roles is scummy.
Thanks for your valuable input Rodion. I must mention again that my original FOS on PMC was not for directing power roles.

I dont know why you are so focused on that when even I know to keep a vote count list. You guys seem kind of silly for not keeping one, especially after playing so long. Im wondering why PMC would repeat my excuse that I said scum could use when any person can just keep their own, I knew Jg wasnt at L1, I would have interfered at that point, but now I am wondering. Am I the only one who is keeping vote counts? And if so, why, out of all the experienced people we have in here, did nobody else?

It is incomprehensible that you would think it is a reasonable vote. If there wasn't a U-Boat movement going on in this game, I bet it would attract a lot more heat.

You mean if everyone wasn't running around complaining about how everyone else played the game? Yeah, that would be great if that happened, but even if it did, there is still nothing wrong with my vote.

I don't believe I posted a list :-s

I can't answer an FOS or a "noted" comment if you don't say what for. As far as I am aware you merely did so because other people have FOSd me, really you should be thinking for yourself. That is why your list was terrible, all of your ideas were completely unoriginal.

I called out spartacus in the last two pages and he is one of the least active players (even if he did give a reason). Also I am supportive of the pressure on CMC and this can be seen by the questions I posed to him to answer.

I had never even thought of it tbh, though I hate doing VCs (partly why I never mod). The closest I come to counting votes is that sometimes on rereads I will keep a list of who each person voted throughout the game, or I will take interesting BWs down but all of that is on reread.

Well I am glad to find out I am not the only one who actually keeps track of these things, Got to have them really to be effective, that may just be me though. And I write my FOS down and the page number so I can quick reference what it was about.

I have a pm draft for most of the games I am in, it can range from a few simple points to an all out spiel. I really find that writing things down and reading over games to make notes can make a huge difference in your ability to spot scum and patterns.
LOTR Example
My Conclusions:
Holo/Simon Mafia 20%
iliad Mafia 15%

thez Mafia 10%

speisr Town 5%
William Town 5%
AceAtremis Town 10%
sam Town 10%
Falkomagno Town 70%
Karelp Town 75%
Suspect Town 95%
Mr Squirell Town 96%
Clive Town 100%

suspect
robotic yet smart vote for me
robotic and unsmart follow up
applies pressure to me
pressures illy, claims that we are scumbuddies. Some good reasons some bad.
argues with me
major pressure on me
now gonig after clive cause he agreed with me
gives up on me bcos he is being suspected
switches to clive
starts the whole clive-me scumbuddy argument
switches to no lynch angry at lack of info and activity
votes clive for the sake of it
now thinks I am town, suspects speisr for wanting legolas role
votes mr squirrel in that post I hate
while defending against me, suddenly becomes aggresive again
more arguing with me
says he does not suspect me but is just defending himself
defends karel adimitly

Verdict: Town (85%)

william
speculated with me, says saruman and sauron are in different mafias
more speculation- saruman gets another mention
is not town non-member of fellowship
says there is max one nazgul
is in love with speculating, and is on my side.
changes side- makes poor point about me being a nazgul or orc
admits speculation says 3 mafia and 3 third party. Grima mentioned.
just wants a lynch now, so goes after clive and even suspects me
now seems pro no lynch
doesn't want MM to claim if he is frodo, maybe becasue he knows MM is not fordo?
thinks me and suspect are town (maybe one 3rd party) (investigate??)
now joins the karel wagon, average reasoning
follows up on his vote on karel as well as puttnig in a point against suspect

Verdict: Town (15%)

karel
excited- must be member of fellowship or scum. If scum likey saruman. Laughing?
no reason given for voting, sticks up for nag
seems like he is having fun and not taking things all that seriously but then bw's as supposedly random
still enjoying himself, refers to team hologram+sam
confirms newbieness
kind of jokes against ace, but he is right in a strange way.
refers to sauron is feeling pressure and vote switching a lot.
calls out mm
is not as stupid as he looks has been reading up
goes inactive
returns and votes for clive forcing a claim, good but recreated reasons
votes for mr. squirrel poor reasons
doesn't back down*2
plays newbie card

Verdict: Town (70%)

mr squirrel
has a horn- possibly boromir/theoden/eomer/ if scum must be an orc.

So let hear what you have or think you have at this point.

If you think its best to lynch a survivor give a good reason.

Uh restate that, please give a reason other than I dont have the time or want to find scum. all participants welcome to give their thoughts.
umm was i not being active before? as i recall i am one of the more active players. i hope your not skimming.

i have posted what i think

my reason would be only if you were the only options were doc and survivor. i wasnt saying out of everyone i just simply meant that i would rather lynch a claimed survivor than doc.
shieldgenerator7 wrote:I can see my young padowan has taken some heat for sticking his hand in a cookie jar intended for milkshake...
but I must remind you all that he is more active and has contributed, whereas milkshake clearly hasn't.

I must say that S7C has been making some good comments, altho I have a few nit-picky things I want to point out:
young padowan wrote:1.) i think i was on it and i dont think i had a good enough reason for doing so. but right now i think its a lost cause if we dont have someone else to persue.

-SG7 ( :) )
lol yes i do have way to much time on my hand i figured i would be productive and answer the questions.

improve MY grammer?

Some7hingCLEVER wrote:a terrible list? its better than yours. and i said a few which is 2 in my book regardless if one was still took off there is still one on you. just because chap crap shut up doesnt mean that everyone else should let it slide. and i never said i was gonna try my hardest to get you lynched i just pointed it out so it was noted. if you think we should look for inactives then why havent you yourself. i just went through 34 pages of another game to find inactives so in all honesty i dont wanna do it in this one but if i have to i will.

The closest I come to counting votes is that sometimes on rereads I will keep a list of who each person voted throughout the game, or I will take interesting BWs down but all of that is on reread.
that was my point i made one and you did not. i was kinda joking and being sarcastic on that part

i wasnt saying you had to defend it i was just saying that there was an FOS which you did defend im sure. it should just be noted that it was there.

and yes i dont mind looking for an inactive but we do have a few cases. but if inactives is what the town wants to go after then i dont mind. but thats not haveing my own opinion is it? i mean seriously there are only so many opinions you can have at once. right now it seems either go after inactives or a case we already have. ill look for inactives and make a post on it here soon.

fastposted i have started doing some of that but not that much

PMC. You make all those notes, and a VC never crosses your mind? All you need to do is take out your computer notebook and type up the names of the voters next to the votees. I find it hard to believe that it would never cross your mind in this game, especially after all those votes on JG started going up. Small FOS.
