When chap didn't die, like everyone else. I have no idea how, or why all I know is that I could vote yesterday but not today. Personally I don't think they are town, its more commonly a mafia role and if it was town I don't see why I would be targeted. I only made 3 peoples scum list yesterday and only gimli hasn't claimed out of them and he was more suspicious of other players than me so I would say its fairly unlikely they are town.
The day is pretty much over at this point, I think there are three hours left.. lets hope tomorrow is more fruitful.
If you think the vote stealer is mafia, then you must conclude mafia KNEW Chuck's hammer was "fake". That means neither Chuck nor Chap can get any "town cred" for their actions.

Intuition dude, I said in my very first reply after finding out chap wasn't dead that this could be possible I just don't think it was. I read his response and concluded that he is town, if you want me to go into more detail on the specifics I would be happy to do so.

You didn't respond at all to what I just said.
In a roundabout way, I did. I realized that trying to pressure someone when only the lynch target also on the wagon is pointless with 130 mins left. I further decided that we dont actually need more reason to kill new guy. Nothing he could say in his defense will persuade me otherwise. He practically admitted to being the vote stealer, which means my vote for pressure was doubly pointless.

After looking for another worthy candidate for a daily kill, we finally stumbled upon a couple of men. We were stuck between a rock and a hard place as one case failed, leading us to believe that one of the men that we suspected earlier in the week may be our enemy.
He claimed the bomb, and told us that should he be shot, he would kill his attacker. With the day closing in, several didn’t believe him, and were even willing to take the shot. As one of our men shot at him, he fired back, and missed. He was only a recruit and could not aim to save his life.
