Noobs/Deadbeats

Postby Chadmw on Wed Jun 28, 2006 7:43 pm

I've noticed lately all the deadbeats in a game are usually Noobs who have never played a game, and sign up to play then never show up again.

So how about if possible they get less then 24 hours to play there turn (give them like 8 hours)

And I am just saying until they play there first turn or game, then they get upped to the 24 hour rule.

I don't think that would really work if someone else isn't their until later.

Yeah I know it Probably wouldn't work, I'm just getting frutrated that the last few games I have played the last 1 or 2 members have been noobs.

And in both cases none of the them ever showed up. So especially when you have 2 noobs that do that then your stuck waiting 2 days to play your turn

the new people (what you call noobs) have lives to, we were all new and this place you got to admit is a little overwelming. Think about it - you get into a easy rookie game then some big name shows up then another you think I don't want to lose my points so easiest thing to do is deadbeat out . with the way we talk in the forum we also scare the new people out. Instead of grouping them together and being compleatly against them try to ease their minds post in the game before it even starts "hey guys glad to see you here your in for a good game this is a fun bunch of people.

That's part of the reason I usually play freestyle, two or even three players can deadbeat and you can still go in 24 hours. Also get your anger out in the flame wars section, just to keep from filling up space, that and people will probably respond alot there.

Oh. I thought the idea was to try to keep CC as exclusive as possible. I mean, do we really want MORE people to join? There're too many already. I've always used the game chat and the pm function to do my part to drive away all new privates I can find...

Hmm... if such a campaign would succeed that would probably increase the number of new people who actually stayed on the site... :D

I don't technically go to the flame wars forum either though it is good to get rid of excess anger which is part of the reason I suggested it.

This was not meant to flame the Noobs. I was a noob not to long ago. But I also played my games. ANd I have no problem with the Noobs that come in and play the games, even if it does take them 15-20 hours to play there turn.

My problem are the noobs that never show up for any of there turns.

i understand y noobs stop playing. When i was looking for an online risk variant to play, i signed up for about 3 then deadbeated the other two bcos i thought this was beta. The noobs probably found a site that suits them more.
