Bowling Classic Tournament
Goal: Get 300 points (the perfect bowling game)
How to get points: This goes in two game sets. If you win the first game, you get a strike and skip the second game. First game losers play a second game. If you win the second game, you get a spare. If you lose either game, you earn points equal to the number of players eliminated BEFORE you were eliminated (e.g. - if you were the 1st eliminated, 0 points; 3rd eliminated, 2 points). No such thing as the '10th frame'.
(Bowling scoring for the uninitiated: Strike adds the next two scores to the frame score. Spare adds the next one score to the frame score. For example, you roll three strikes in a row, and score nothing else the next two rolls, your frame scores would be: 1st-30, 2nd-20, 3rd-10, total score 60. 2nd example: Spare followed by a 5, frame scores: 1st-15, 2nd-5, total score 20.)
Games:
Every game is Classic, automatic, sequential, chained, no trench.
Round 1 - Six games. Escalating, sunny, no round limit, 6 players each for games 1, 3 and 5; 5 players on games 2, 4, and 6. Failure to win a game in the first six eliminates you.
Round 2 - Four games. Flat, fog, 30 round limit. We will try to have games of 5-6 players on games 7 and 9. Failure to be within 50 points of the point leader eliminates you at the end of this round.
Round 3 - As many games as necessary. First to 300 points wins. Escalating, sunny, no round limit. 6 players in each game except the point leader(s) will be in 7 or 8 player games, as needed.
