No, it's an observation. Though it doesn't at all surprise me that you would consider "an observation" to be equivalent to "a conspiracy".

So since you responded to this post of mine...were you ever going to answer my questions?

Woodruff, if you look at the questions, I believe there may be 3 answers, at most, with which Phatscotty would not agree with Gary Johnson (the libertarian): (1) abortion; (2) immigration; (3) gay marriage. I suspect PS said "states decide," "deport them," and "states decide" in answering those questions. That's consistent with Ron Paul's view. It's not consistent with Gary Johnson's views. In every other way, Johnson and Paul are the same (fiscally, economically, foreign policy). So, it makes sense that Phatscotty would have the highest total for Ron Paul.

It's interesting to see that Gary Johnson is by far the best-matched candidate among users of that site.

So, I see a few libertarians, a few democrats, but nobody has listed a "republican" leaning result? Also, nobody has my low score of 2% agreement with Obama beat yet ;)

That's the problem with that website. It doesn't factor in contradictory stances, and/or nuanced positions.

If you selected the "GIT 'ER DUN!" foreign policy of HapSmo, then you'd be 0% libertarian.

HOWEVER, there's another problem. To speak holistically, Afghani government allowed Al-Qaeda to operate there, and Al-Qaeda initiated violence against the US. The US is then justified to defend itself and punish Al-Qaeda. Since Afghanistan was unwilling to cooperate, then invasion could be justified and would still be adhering to libertarian principles...

But libertarianism wouldn't justify state-building and a ten year occupation... the US would only have to target Al-Qaeda, remove its bases, punish whoever, then leave ASAP.

How does iSideWith.com factor this problem in? ehh....hm.

There is far too much opium to control for us to just "leave". Since we have been there, the opium crops have set new record productions every year like clockwork. (Only true up to 2009. might still be true, just don't know it for a fact)

Yeah, that's the one. I think that's existing law (born here = stay here), which I think is what Ron Paul stands for (although I'm not entirely certain of his immigration policy).
BigBallinStalin wrote:That's the problem with that website. It doesn't factor in contradictory stances, and/or nuanced positions.
And I'm not sure the "most" to "least" important to you factors in enough.

I'm now going to explore Jill Stein (who I don't recall having ever heard of before). If she and/or Gary Johnson are actually on the ballot, I will almost certainly vote for one of them (I need to research her more to determine if this poll was really accurate or not). If not, then I will probably vote for Obama, unless Ron Paul is on the ballot (which I don't expect).

Or she's not using it like a hammer. I mean, Huff-Po frequently has articles that criticize
Obama policies, for instance.

I am a little soft on immigration for them. Still voting for Mr.Paul, though.
