Group Stage 2 in the Fencing Competition has been completed. The matchups for the Round of 32, the first round of bracket play, have been added to the Teams and Results spreadsheet (see "Fencing - Bracket Round"). That round will be played on Day 3.
For those fencers who have made it into the bracket round, each round of the bracket is a best-of-3 against one opponent (same map and settings as in the group stages). You must win 2 games to advance to the next round. Tiebreaking third games will only be created if they are necessary.
Invites for Rounds 5, 6, and 7 of the Synchronized Swimming Competitions have been sent out. I am still waiting for a chance to get Round 8's invites out, but I hope to get it either today or tomorrow.
As of this moment, 4 of the 48 Cross-Country Relays in Group Stage 2 have been completed. I am a bit behind in keeping track of the relays, but I have been busy this weekend. Hopefully, I can get up to speed on that, and update the overall standings, today or tomorrow.
This is a huge and complex tourney, and I appreciate how much of your time and effort goes into it.
It is my pleasure! I must say, aside from people missing invites and having to replace players, this tourney has been a lot of fun to organize and run!
Further, I am pleased to announce that Round 1 of the Shooting competition is now complete, and that the groups for Round 2 have been finalized and entered into the spreadsheet. Round 2 will begin at the start of Day 3. Best of luck to the 24 shooters remaining in the competition!

i'd appreciate this tourney even more if you'd allowed me to win a 1v1 game in the cross country relay... it's just impossible, however my drop/first turn is.

I feel your pain, my friend, but I have no say in the matter.

I have made a couple of mistakes with the Cross-Country Relay in this round, recreating several games that had already been played. I know how it happened, and I will do everything I can to make sure it doesn't happen again, but I need your help.
Once you've won a game in a cross-country relay, you pass the baton to your teammate and are done with that relay. If I invite you to a game in a relay in which you've already won a game, PLEASE decline the invite and LET ME KNOW WHY. That way, I will know to drop the game and create the right one before it is too late.
Thank you all! sempai

Standings updated to show the results of Day 2 action in the show jumping competition, now completed.
And, as nicestash so boldly predicted, Nepal have leapfrogged Serbia to take hold of the top spot in the overall standings! However, Serbia has not fallen very far behind, and it will be very interesting to see if Nepal can hold them off for the rest of Day 2, not to mention the rest of the tournament.
Thank you all for making this such an exciting tournament to run! I'm having loads of fun with it!
