Marketing CC

Post by AslanTheKing »

Hello all,

I have been reading through some interesting posts, and also some where very emotional ( not for me, those who where writing of course)

When i joined this site, i loved it, all the strategy thing, the maps, great
until i got frustrated since my logic didnt work with the dice,
well, u need time to get your steam and frustration off, now back to the topic and my real question.

How many friends of u have joined CC as full p(l) aying member?

I did post it on my Facebook profile, but i dont know if anybody has joined ( that way that i coud have become a premiumplayer for free for a month)

even with 600 friends of Facebook, i believe nobody has joined. ( i posted only once though, to make it successful, u have to post it every 2nd day in a month, so everybody gets the message - i didn't )

how many of your close friends did u recommend CC to ?

how many of your family are playing in CC?

that would be interesting to know who is the King of getting new full paying members to CC.

I am curious.

Two of the people I recommended it to are still playing on CC.

Another note, I'll be at a bar tonight with 4 other CC-users. The contact began through CC and now slowly evolves into beer-drinking in real life. That's good progress and if it weren't for CC, we wouldn't be there.

At most, I have had 2 RL friends playing and premium, although I work in a hospital and have had up to 10 or 11 peeps I knew with freemium accounts. At the moment, I have one RL premium friend and 1 freemium friend.

I find most online games tend to develop friendships, when I played WoW I had a dozen or so local people I would drink/hang out with, but the population of the province I live in is rather small and finding other users is a bit difficult at times. Especially in a game with a base of 15k+ people.

I have two relatives that play on C.C. , and My better half logs in and plays as a doubles partner when she loses a bet.

I have however met some really cool people on here!

I've had a lot of fun with a (ex) girlfriend who signed up to play with me in the past. My current roommate recently went freemium, but I'm not sure he's all that enthusiastic about the game, he's already missed 2 turns in his first 4 games. I'm trying to talk my brother and nephews into joining up for some family fun that doesn't take up a week of time on the old board game, but so far no luck.

I'd love to go premium, once my student loans are paid off, who knows, but for now I'll stay freemium. Maybe I'd upgrade if there were more benefits to paying members, but all I'm interested in are the speed games, so here I stay for now.

my brother and his best friend used to play here, but lost interest. my husband and i have a long time acquaintance who's a regular player. i met a bunch of CCers at the Annual Risk Classic and a few of us have a regular ongoing standard classic escalating game.

AoG once tried to crash on my couch but I told him to GTFO. hopefully i'll get to meet him and a some bandits & McGillians at the classic one day.
