For the text try dropping the opacity a lil bit, 10% at most I think, just so it has a bit of the faded quality of the rest of the map. The text is too sharp to be on this map.

just to nitpicking
in your lower right legend
REGION could be spelled in capital letter to correspond to the map

you have a great map here
De gueules à la tour d'argent ouverte, crénelée de trois pièces, sommée d'un donjon ajouré, crénelé de deux pièces
Gules an open tower silver, crenellated three parts, topped by a apertured turret, crenellated two parts

No that's fine. It should be clear to everyone what is a town, and what is a REGION.

is then necesary to use different font for "Towns"?
and if yes, use capital "T" everywhere?

No I don't think so. As I said, people should be able to tell what is a town. I will leave it up to you.

I think this can be stickied now. If anyone has any other graphical concerns speak up now! I'll get this stamped in about 48 hours.

Oneyed...i have attached the basic xml with only territories in it at the bottom of the post.
Before i do borders etc. can you please check that i have all the correct accents etc. in the correct place, it will help greatly in going forward as names are copied for borders and continents etc.
even if you want someone else to do this, this will start them off.
