adding platinum and diamond status


currently bronze is 20 wins, silver 100, gold 400

my suggestion would be this:

bronze 20

silver 100

gold 300

platinum 500

diamond 1000


other medals


chained: 20 games bronze, etc.
fog of warL 20 games bronze, etc.
unlimited: 20 games bronze, etc
victory achievement for consecutive wins in a row: 5 bronze, 10 silver, 20 gold, 30 platinum, 50 diamond
sequential: 20 games bronze, etc
freestyle: 20 games bronze, etc
adjacent 20 games bronz,e etc.
score 1000 bronze, 2000 silver, 3000 gold, 4000 platinum, 5000 diamond-even if they lower now, if they ever got there, it would count
flat rate: 20 games bronze, etc
map makers
escalating: 20 games, bronze, etc.
programmers
all maps played : 10 maps bronze, 25 maps silver, 50 maps gold, 75 maps platinum, 100 maps diamond
individual map: 10 wins on a map bronze, 25 wins on a map silver, 50 wins-gold, 75 platinum, 100 diamond
conqueror: if you ever hit this before regardless if you have it now, would be a special medal recognition
hall of fame: if a committee comes together and votes in players with lacks approval, this also would be special medal

Nothing new to add, but I would like to vote in support of
-Escalating Medal
-Flat Rate Medal
-No Cards Medal
-Foggy Medal
-Freestyle Medal
(Since each of these game styles require a unique skill set and shoud be recognized like terminator, assasin and teams)

Well I guess I do have a couple suggestions to add.
-I also support a medal for anyone who has been Conquerer at some point.
-I would also support a medal for winners of the newly formed Clan League. (like..."THOTA - Clan league '09 Champions"
It would be a cool to have a distinction in my profile for winning a clan league championship (like winning a tourny).

I also vote against
-Consecutive wins medal (yeah, I would farm a bunch of cooks to get my achivement.)
-Endurance medal (rewarded for just playing? This isn't special olympics is it?)
-Service medal (I don't think that how long you've been with CC is deserving of a medal, your just lucky.)

Bronze-250 defeat unique opponents

It is, it's called standard acheivement.

That's not true, you can play a Team game with those settings as well. So it's not in one medal, and it's not the standard achievement.

I would love to hear from lack to see which medals are at the top of his to-do list
...or if Andy or Night Strike have an idea of what is closest to being realized, they can tell us too

I believe Andy recently stated that lack has no plans to add new medals until he finishes adding more content to the site.

We basicly need a medal for every game type. No Spoils, Flat, Escalating, Chained, Ulimited, Adjacent, Foggy, Sunny, Freestyle, Sequential.

Under the "Award Reason:" it says

Met requirements for Gold

Well, yes, isn't this sort of implied when the medal is gold, and you have it? Isn't there a more descriptive, or memorable, reason that could be stated instead?

Award Reason: "Won 200 nuclear games as of Game XXXXX," or "Defeated Player A X number of times," or even fun random but funny medals like: "Has been embarrassingly eliminated first in X games," "is a complete flake who has missed X number of turns."

Digressing, I've searched everywhere and not found an ordered list of rankings. And there is no way to justify an accusation, or perhaps even more importantly, refute them. This makes ratings rather arbitrary. Because of these reasons--medals, rank, and ratings, mean absolutely nothing to me. I haven't the least bit of interest in attaining any of them. Do you assume this will change?

Digressing even further, I want to thank the Moderators for refunding me so quickly when I was double charged. I very much appreciate that, although it overdrew my account and I had to pay another 30 bucks. I know it wasn't your fault, but that's what you get in life when you are poor.

But I digress...

Hm, i like your thinking qwert. I am going to permanently sticky this thread. This won't mean that this is on the famous "last call", but it will give a place for people who have medal suggestions.

As for the other suggestions, I do not like the medals for:

Total Wins - that info is on our profile and favours 1v1 game players

Win % - that info is on our profile and favours 1v1 game players

Length of Activity on Site - that info is on our profile & posts and is not available to all/majority of players

Consecutive Victories - favours 1v1 game players and those who only play 1 game at a time

Score Plateau - that info belongs on our Profile page @ User Statistics as Highest Score & Rank Achieved right before/after the info on number of posts and most active forum/topic

Battle Royale - isn't that already covered by the Tournament Victory medal. i don't see how a win here is any more important than some of the other enormous tournaments won by other players

Endurance - that info is on our profile and favours 1v1 game players


I am in favour of:

Platinum Medal - see earlier post
Diamond Medal - see earlier post
Unique Map Achievement - i would really like to see Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum unique defeats available for each map, regardless of Fog/No Fog, Freestyle/Sequential, Spoils/No Spoils, etc. it would promote all maps far beyond what the cross-maps medal does


I am not in favour of Cards Achievement but if we have Nuclear then we should also have it for the other forms of Spoils

My votes are for Total Wins, Unique Map Achievement, and Cards Achievement. I love earning medals in new categories. I agree that once you earn a medal, you should keep the medal.
