Add Date Stamp to Eliminated Tab entries

Long time paying player, first time posting (anything significant...)

One of the only complaints I have with this site is that when I am knocked out of a game, there is no quick way to see this (aside from knowing exactly how many games you have running at any given time). The "Eliminated" tab, shows games that you've been knocked out of, but they are not in order (of the last one you were eliminated from on top). They seem to be in order of how much time is left in the current turn of the current player. This information has no relevance to me now that I've been eliminated so why use it to order the list? Rather:

My suggestion is a time and date stamp on each of those eliminations with the most recent game you were knocked out of on top of the list.

So if you think this would be a good and easy solution, say agree!!

Ouch greenoaks... bite my head off. I figured the "form" was more of a guide to help people who didn't know what exact info to write... yikes...

Chapcrap: If you read my posts prior you would see they were mostly all related to joining tourneys and such. I meant that I hadn't made a suggestion before... but... sorry for the confusion I guess.

The link that you provided is exactly what we already have in the eliminated tab. What I was talking about was adding a Date Stamp and to have the most recent game you had been eliminated from at the top of the list.

Maybe I am the one confused here... how do YOU tell quickly if you've been eliminated from a game? When I log on it would be nice to be able to click that tab and see quickly if I had been eliminated from, or if a game had ended from when I had last logged on.

Does this make sense now?

I believe the eliminated tab is in order of when you were eliminated already. If you're worried I would check there. I don't see this as a big deal, but it might be able to be done.

I think he wants to know how to tell if a game has finished while he was away, not if he was eliminated. If I have 86 active games and 34 waiting games and 79 recently finished, if I log on later and see 80 recently and 85 active, I probably wont even notice. He wants a way to notice that the games been completed.. I think

The Eliminated tab is NOT in the order in which you have been eliminated. Currently the order of the Eliminated Tab is based on (from what I can tell) how much time is left in the current turn for the current player (still in the game). Sounds odd, but that seems what orders that list, and so, that order changes constantly. The order of the Elimination Tab is what I am trying to suggest should change.

My suggestion is that the listing of games within the Eliminated Tab be ordered with the game you have most recently been eliminated from at the top.

Nothing else.

To that end, I suggested a DATE and TIME STAMP be generated when you are eliminated from a game and that it would be included in each game listed in the Eliminated Tab so that it may be ordered as suggested above.

I appreciate that you don't see this as a "big deal" chapcrap but maybe I should explain why it is for a player like myself:
If I have 80 normal "24hr per turn" games in my active tab, and I log off and come back 8hrs later and see that I now have only 70 games on my active tab I want to figure out what happened to those other 10 games. The first click I make is the Eliminated tab. I must then scroll through multiple games that are NOT in any meaningful order to try to find out which 10 are the ones that are missing from may Active tab. To make matters worse, they may not even be in that list at all since that game may have also simply ended, in which case I also have to check the "Recently Finished" tab.

I hope this clarifies my suggestion?

Does no one else see the value of an meaningfully ordered Eliminated Tab????
If so, please speak up so I know (at least) that I'm not the only one.

I see the value of an ordered Eliminated Tab. But then lets say you are eliminated and the game is completed before you come back online. Now it will be in the Recently Finished tab, and you will still have to look for the game in there (and that tab is order on when the last ROUND started so good luck with that one). Wouldn't it solve your problem even more if there was a way that you could see which games you were newly eliminated and which games are newly completed.

If I really wanted to know what happened in the game (like I had been eliminated) I would go into the game and read the log.

I agree that it would solve my problem more if, as you said, "there was a way that you could see which games you were newly eliminated AND which games are newly completed" but I think that would require either a new tab entirely, an email generated for either event or some such solution...

Either way, there is NO reason the "Eliminated" tab should be ordered the way it currently is.

The ordering of both the Eliminated and the Recently Finished tabs both need a touch up IMO

And why did they ordered the finished games like that? What's the purpose? Atleast the eliminated, has sense for example if you were eliminated in a team game and still actively participate in the game. Its useful and has purpose (except for the OP), while the finished games I have to use a RSS feed to keep track of the games were I got eliminated.

Sure, let see I understand that you don't really like the order of the eliminated, because as you won't be playing is not use. You only need to check once to see how you got eliminated and then you forget about the game.

I, for example, I keep track of how the game goes after being eliminated, much more if it's a team game. If it's a game team, you still have to participate in the chat and help your partners. So you can follow when it's their turn and when your opponent (sure you can still follow it by RSS), but also imagine that your partner has left 2 hours, you can check easily and take the appropiate measures (call someone, if you are the babysitter in that period take the turn...) but if the games are not in the order of time left then, you can get messed and not follow the game and neither help your teammates.

Hey Darth, with regards to the above entry:
In the Eliminated tab currently, I would argue that the forever changing order of the list would always make it harder to quickly find any information you might be looking for from those games. I'm not advocating that the current turn clock be removed from the game info on that tab, but for the inclusion of a Date and Time stamp for when you were eliminated which would be used to order the list.

In my mind Date and Time stamp would be added to ANY game that ended for you, so that it may be also used in the "Finished Games" tab as well to properly order those (as described above).

I feel like it's pretty easy to tell when a new one gets put there.

Apart from the order would be the same. If that's the case I don't see the harm, in point of fact with a simple add-on would be enough

i'm the same although my Eliminated tab is usually 0. at the moment it is 3.

pretty easy to follow, especially if you utilise the team mate feature in the Watch This Game addon

Yup, all I am looking for is another bit of information within each game "info portion" of the "Eliminated" tab that tells you the Date and Time you were knocked out. The order of this Eliminated tab would have the most recent game you were eliminated from on top.

All the other current information displayed would stay as is.

It could look like this: (on the right portion of a "no round limit", "24hr game")

Darth, you mentioned an "ad-on" but my suggestion would be to have the page coded to do that on its own.
