the scale of the lined paper is way off. its too big. this map would literally be the size of an index card.

Have you seen American Grade School writing paper? It's definitely not high school or college lines.

I was actually going to use the exact same line scale for the small version. Maybe even the same crayon size?

18 tettories is just stupid.....You must add at least 6 more or give me a valid explanation why you dont want to.

If you leave it how it is its gonna finish bottom of Mibi's Map thread forever. It's a novelty thats going to wear off. Sorry,

Its a great idea but ur going to ruin it by having too few countries....

Well, we had a poll that generally agreed that 18 is enough. I suppose more testing is possible but at the basic level the map is playable.

You don't have to play the map I think its a great idea and I really hope you move forward with this. I think its almost done so don't worry about what tha other guy said just listen to the poll and leave it with 18.

I don't understand how people just don't get the whole idea of an 18 territory map...

if you don't like the idea don't play it just many other people like the idea, and if new territories are added it isn't unique.

Well why not play it No Cards, or even Esc (for a while anyway).

This is a very specialised map, you cant really have more than 3 or 4p in a game, and the card options are limited.

But I still think its a great map because its different.

That and some of the names are quite amusing.

Now, have you not been doing so on the rest of the map?

To an extent, I suppose... Still, there isn't much funny about "France" alone. "European Onion" is at least a play on words.

I don't like either the European Onion or France. You should change the UK to something extremely stoopid like some other acronym because a little kid wouldn't know what the UK is.

One, I don't see why he wouldn't. Two, it's spelled "stupid". Three, anything longer than UK would mean the letters would have to be smaller and less legible to fit on that island.

i would like to see the most recent version of this map and know what the main contending points are- enough chattering, its a kids map but the kid aint stupid. humor is great, stupidity ruins it.

The latest draft, 17, is here:
http://www.freewebs.com/dimagic/SmallWorld17.png

Other than territory names, which seem to me fine as they are, the only issues I've seen raised are:

- ) Upping the territory count to 24 (which, it seems to be agreed that this won't likely happen)
- ) The notebook ruling (which I think is fine but might change, maybe depending on how the small version looks)

I would like something the same length as UK a two letter acronym that would take up as much space as UK but would be more "Stupid". I apologize for supplying everyone for "Stupid" ideas.

Nobody here has ever been around a 7 year old if that is who we are pretending created this. That's 2nd grade, they know enough to not have to make everything goofy.

I don't mind at all, it's just I don't think every territory has to be completely outrageously named. UK can stay UK. OK?

I'm new to the discussion, but I'm a big fan of this, nitpicking over territory names aside.

I think it's exciting with so few territories...I'd like to get a shot at this map.

Change the names of East India to Chyna or Aseya or Anyhting but that.

And also European Onion is terrible. Change Germany to Pole-land (get it?) and make the E.O. Germany or Francis or even the Eyeberry Pensinsula.

Otherwise it's great!
