how did this come about?

are the Havoc people already here on CC? who are they?

So those of us that don't use Facebook or Twitter can't join.

if you really want to join it will take you 2 minutes to open a facebook or a twitter account. and guess, what, it's free. people who don't have email can also have lots of problems doing a few things on the internet..

i have Facebook. i don't use it. i'm over it.

hence my query about those of us that don't use those sites.

Which was a legitimate question since not everybody wants to register and/or have an account on any social network site, no matter if it's free or not. Seems a wee bit unfair that those people are excluded from this kind of thing (not only talking about this CC example).

With electronic print now days, most things on the internet are already legible. I suspect you might have a question about being eligible though.

I'm confused regarding the prizes:
Tournament registration page states:

Grand Prize:
* A custom designed Havoc Board ($500 value)
Finalists (3):
* An engraved wooden Havoc Board ($100 value)
Semi-Finalists (12):
* A classic style Havod Board ($30 value)
Quarter-Finalists (36):
* All quarter-finalists will receive a free entry into the next Conquer Cup

I guess quarter Finalists are the losers in the 4th round. Since there will be 16 games with 3 losers, wouldn't that count as 48 Quarter-Finalists?

To echo a previous post...
Their maps should spend a little more time in the foundry!

But its an awesome idea.
I'm going to start looking at CC maps as potential real boards.
I hope CC can work out something with them so they can offer a bunch of CC maps. I would buy one, although I almost never use my Risk game anymore.
