Thanks for explaining that celliottii. The only reason I bcc you into the PM is like Leehar said earlier, if you don't get to see the games and the invite is declined or expired, then what proof do you have?

I usually just drop a line on their wall to let them know I'm challenging them as soon as I have the games set and my challenge posted here. That or pm either is fine. Main thing is to have it posted here. It's a really great group of people and I doubt you'll ever have a problem with needing any proof.

Yeah, I don't expect to have any trouble really, it was just a precaution I thought about since Leehar mentioned it.

Yes...we have never had a problem with a person's integrity on the Ladder (knock on wood)...

Yeah, it's just something we had in the Medal Heads 1v1 Ladder days. And it actually did end up being needed when a forfeit was needed once, so I just thought it's better to be safe than sorry.

Also btw celiotti, do you think it may be better to create separate threads for these Queries? I don't want the discussions to detract from the more placid game recording!

Specially since I was actually thinking it may be worth asking Dhallmayer to advertise the ladder on the Home Page? It could certainly expand involvement in the SoC?

Macbone and I have talked about this...a lot. The SoC Ladder was created for SoC students, teachers, and admins to have a place to work on their 1v1 skills. Even though there are no teachers for the 1v1 and no advice is given, we wanted to keep it "contained" (for lack of a better word) in a "controlled environment".

We have no tools, scripts, or codes to help us in maintaining the Ladder. If it was able to be automatically updated, then we might consider it in the future. But for now, I do all the updating manually. I don't mind it as it's a nice break from my games and it gives me some Admin experience, in case I ever want to pursue volunteering more for CC.

I'm not ruling out going more public in the future, but we've learned to take some baby steps with this project. As the Ladder evolves, the possibility of expanding again will be addressed.

Hope this helps...

Well, it's looking like a 0-3 loss for me against asbks. We'll give you the official final tally when it comes out, but he's really handing it to me. =)

Something has gone wrong with my games with Tamaynet. 1 game I have someone else that signed up and the Random game expired. Checking to see if some problem occurred and Tamaynet was not able to accept the games.

I did not password them because I invited him.

I have defeated asbks in 2 of the 3 games so far (3rd still pending but definitely leaning his way). I know a few other people want a crack at me, but I'd like to request a brief vacation now that this challenge is effectively complete. I have a baby due to be born any day now, and I'm likely to be away for a good day or two. At most, this should be a two week vacation from the ladder, but I'm expecting less than a week.

I thought asbks was a player, not a game, Doc_Brown ;)

Anyway, I have finished my games against notyou2, celliottii:
[game]13177325[/game]: win for notyou2
[game]13177323[/game]: win for me
[game]13182546[/game]: win for me
