[Site] List of Top 20 Most Popular Maps

Concise description:
A simple list or page that shows the top 20 most popular maps based on number of active games using them. That way, people can see which maps will attract more gamers.

EDIT: You can also have it to where you can click the map and then get sent to a list of all games awaiting players using that map so that way people don't have to look through pages and pages to find their favorite map.

Game finder didn't have a "20 most popular maps" option last time I looked.

I meant top 20 most popular conquer club maps.

I understand, just adding some levity since I thought the question was already answered. There have been polls determining the most popular maps and people keep various lists of the number of games played on maps.

I disagree, for the same reasons that you can't tell a musician what makes a hit song.

That's almost a philosophical debate, but lets say that some factors in art can be told and some can't. By looking at the most successful songs its possible to tell some of the factors that make a good song. With maps it's the same.

Of course there is the question about the different audiences (some like big maps, some like small maps, some like simple maps, some like complex maps) however a top 20 list would be very informative and useful. Specially if it was about the last year, which would eliminate old maps advantage

I meant maps used the most...

For example:
1. Classic (732 ongoing games)
2. Napoleonic Europe (440 ongoing games)

As pointed out above, IMPLEMENTED!

The edit you made is a good point though. There are a couple changes that need to be made to that page anyway, so I'll bring it up.

That list is wrong. USA was a launch map. Game 6 was played on it.

When I first started I made a list of the maps in order they came out by selecting all maps, going to the first game numbers, seeing what was there and then unselecting them for the next iteration. I did this for every map on the site and like a year later realized there was actually a list.

This page may not be perfect, but it is such a step in the right direction.
