So, just remind our viewers: when the game engine reads the XML, it numbers the territories and uses those numbers in its database to drive the game. So when XML is changed on a live map, the only safe place to add things is at the end. I don't know if adding continents could cause problems, but clearly adding territories is fraught with peril. I don't see how deleting any territory, apart from the last one, could work properly on a live map.

Ah that's why. It wasn't added last on the list.

There are still 15 active games, so when they all get finished then rds can upload the new files and tnb can open it back up. Right now there is no telling how long it will be.

If we are waiting for all games to finish, won't a round limit be imposed on those games?

I agree on a round limit being imposed, so maybe rds can get it done? I know tnb would agree to it as well.

So when the problem occurred all existing games were restarted with the new xml. So wouldn't it be true then that all of the current games are on the xml that added the territory? The new xml that is waiting for upload is that same xml with one connection fix. So do we really need to wait for them to end?

Hmm...this is true. Was there an XML update AFTER the final lap was introduced?
Yes... it fixes the connection for Track E3 to Final Lap and tweaks the Final Lap unit display slightly to the left to help center it... It is uploaded in the first post.

Then there should be no issue with opening the map up now. We change coordinates and borders all of the time with no issues.

I think they want to wait for all games to finish just in case it causes issues again. Although Gilligan has said he believes it will not cause the same issues as before as all games were reset with the new xml and the latest update is just a minor territory connection fix. I would really love to see a turn limit put on the remaining games if that is possible with the game engine.

I sent a PM to blake and rds to impose round limits about an hour ago.
