What forum upgrades would you like to see?

Since the new site owner has made great progress in advancing the gaming side of the community, I thought it would be nice to supply a list of changes we would like to see in the forums. So lets all get a list together and see what we can achieve

That is already being done, but changes to the forum itself are generally more easily implemented. Normally they only involve a couple of admin clicks or the addition of one of the many phpbb addon scripts

Have to disagree here.
Design and appearance are often major factor of succes/insucces rate on a website.
CC clearly suffers from it( boring look, old fashioned design, messy forums)

Obviously that the game itself is the most important but its proved that depending how the new webpage you are visiting looks it will make you stay and know more about it or just send you away because its unatractive

Obviously that the game itself is the most important but its proved that depending how the new webpage you are visiting looks it will make you stay and know more about it or just send you away because its unatractive

By 'forum', I took it to mean, 'the forum' and not 'the homepage/website'.

Updating the image of this site may help, but by what magnitude I'm not sure.

I`d like a setting where all of a player`s medals are displayed individually. Instead of greenoaks having 1 tournament medal that says XXX, he will have 30 that say I. Also, the medals will be much bigger so that I can never read any posts. Then I will spend less time on the forums, and more times being a productive citizen.

Forum powers for leaders of groups to extend to the recruitment threads of those groups. Would be useful to clean up trolling comments/banter from months ago in a recruitment thread.

PokerStars has different skins available based on themes such as the Wild West. Microsoft also provides them for Windows. i would like to see the site provide a few skins that i can change from Control Panel. initially they'd be a different set of colours like a 'dark skin' such as this



seasonal ones could then be added. ideally it would be possible for users to submit their own designs based on their nationality or favourite sports teams.

I was thinking about this one.. and have a possible solution, but would need to speak to someone with higher access. It might be possible to host the thread in the clans private forum and ghost image it to the clan recruitment forum. Although that requires a fair amount of work for the admins, but i think it might be possible.

maybe add a few different catalogers, like The Sports Bar for all sport base forums, the West Wing for political forums, could have other for Religion,Comedy, Current Advents/News etc etc

Nice skin. I like skins. It could be even nicer if other people could make skins apart from the "official"ones
