Vindictive abuse of power.

User has been given mod privileges in live chat. He likes to start/participate in discussions involving "intellectual" subjects like nuclear power and then talk down to people and insult their intelligence. If someone stands up to him, he becomes vindictive and bans them from live chat.

Today, he banned me from Social, with this message:
kicked from Social by Metsfanmax - reason: Bye.

And from Help, with this message:
kicked from Help by Metsfanmax - reason: no reason

That is obvious vindictiveness. And if the owners of this site want people to enjoy it, they should dismiss any employees or volunteers who abuse their responsibilities and use them unfairly for their own pleasure.

I am a paying customer. Not only that, but I am a potential evangelist. If you want to anger and ostracize people like me, you lose my business and you lose my evangelism, and all the potential profits that come with it. I'm not keen on continuing my membership of a site that carelessly chooses such capricious and vindictive employees/volunteers. There are way too many mods in chat as it is. Why not dismiss the unprofessional ones who use their responsibilities for personal vendettas.

Because of the dynamic and always-going nature of chat, all rules and guidelines are interpreted according to the situation solely at the Moderator's discretion. Moderator directions and/or decisions made are to be followed without question. If a user has a problem with the direction or decision that the moderator made, the user is not to disrupt the room in complaint but to address the moderator directly through private messaging. If you feel the situation was not resolved sufficiently, you may forward the problem to the Head Chatter or any of the Admin. Be sure to include logs of the attempted resolution (screenshots are preferred as they are better evidence of the chat history).

If you have any issues regarding a live chat mod, you can contact the head chat moderator to clarify things with him.

If you are worried that head moderators will only be biased regarding complaints against a moderator, no they won't. They will look at both sides and evaluate the incident.

Just to clarify further as well. If you feel there is a conversation where the mod is being unfair/insulting then please take screen shots of the convo and send to me for review. Based on the conversation that I saw for our records Metsfanmax acted properly in his role. If you have evidence to the contrary please send it to me.
