I just know that i don t like sunderland and that the more they lose and feel like it s unfair the happier i am. Newcastle rules the north, sorry about their little ass. And di canio seriously?? What went through their mind?? They got what they deserved.

Poyet spent 7 years in Spain at Zaragoza, then 4 at Chelsea, 3 at Spurs. He is a well known figure in the UK and has coached here for a long time too.

Heynckess said he would retire at the end of the season, maybe that s not a good reason?
While I disagree that guardiola is highly over rated (unless you are a real madrid fanboy living in a cave that has never seen the real tiki taka), i agree that his salary is completely over rated.

Fat Sam is paid far too much.

The FA need to stop paying Hodgson so much and invest more in the countries youth facilities so we can actually produce some quality players like Germany and Spain.

Was just reading the first post and it had a few ROFL moments.

DAZMCFC wrote:right with the football season starting tomorrow in england. i thought that everyone around the world could post how their teams are getting on. also who you support no matter what division they are in and what country. if it`s the spanish 3rd division get posting that aswell.

if you think your team are going to do well this season, put that down. also how much money spent and who they`ve bought and i you think how good they will do (the new players that is).

as a Man City fan, my expectations of this year are quite high. with our dodgy ex-primeminister of thailand now in control with all his dodgy money  . we`ve spent around 40 odd million on 8 players at the moment. more to come hopefully.

Man City have definitely progressed dramatically winning the title and are now starting to dominate other Premier League teams on a weekly basis, only got their away form to sort out and they can be as good as Bayern currently are.

Norse wrote:As A portsmouth fan, I expect a top 10 finish, maybe if we are lucky a european spot.

Portsmouth however... well, last time I looked they had gone all the way down to League 2 and are near the bottom as well, with the potential threat of falling out the football league. What has happened to that club? They have done the complete polar opposite of Swansea.

Ronaldinho wrote:Manchester United Fan here

we have also bought Nani & Anderson (the new Ronaldo and Ronaldinho) :D

We are going to cruise the league and dominate europe, look out world United are going to be doing the "99" season once again 8) 8) 8) 8) :D

Anderson the new Ronaldinho is one of the biggest jokes I have ever seen. Nani is hardly a Ronaldo either though he does have occasional glimpses of talent.

Yeah, when I was ending my post I remembered he was retiring but left it like that anyway.

What happened with Barcelona FC when Guardiola left? Tito did it fine. And when Tito leave? Martino is doing good. So maybe it doesn't depend so much on the coach.

Much difference with what's happening with Manchester UTD.

Speaking of "tiki taka", someone from inside Barcelona FC said recently that the "tiki taka" was created by Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Busquets, didn't mention Pep. And btw, I find "tiki taka" extremely boring, I can't stand to watch a complete game by Barcelona FC. It might be extremely effective but if every team in the world played like them, I wouldn't watch football at all.

And yes I'm a RM fanboy. BTW, how is Betis doing? Still in Primera?

Jesus that was an old post... I was at Nani's and I think Anderson's debut @ Glentoran all those years ago. Remember Nani scoring a nice goal and looking like to could progress into a quality player, pity he hasn't proformed in the past couple of seasons. TBH I think it's a Manchester thing, when he leave he'll do a Forlan and show what kind of player he is. Anderson is just crap.

Are you that thick? Guardiola was burned out and Tito was his second. Basically they did everything to make Tito a clone of Guardiola, and Pep left only when they felt that Tito could make a cut/paste, keeping the same players that knew what to do anyways.
Tata is another thing, and the game is criticized a lot. Nevertheless he has pretty good results. The players were burned out of the tiki taka, too much posession without scoring enough in the late days of Tito.
If you find the tiki taka extremely boring, maybe you had loads of fun with mourinho's game style?? Loooool. Come on, fanboy...

By the way.. Busquets was found and brought to the team by Pep (although he is the son of barça s keeper in the 90s when Pep was a player there, so he knows him since he was a little kid). How can busquets invent the tiki taka you smart person? If you had a bit of football culture, you would know that it somehow started in Mexico, your homeland. Juanma Lillo was coaching a taco team there. He was a well known coach for the spectacular play of his teams, with a lot of verticality, movement forward and scoring lots of goals. His teams had alwYs been shit in defense... Anyway, Pep spent a lot of time there with him in Mexico to theorize about football attack. Hopefully he took just the best from him as his teams were total shit defensively.
Luis Aragones, being head coach of Spain for the eurocup 2008 contributed a lot to the tiki taka as well, receiving all those barça players and blending them in with the madrid players.

Anyway, if guardiola s team is remembered as the best in the history of football it s because of its results, extreme domination AND the eyecandy it was to watch it play.

I just posted what I read, a person from inside of Barcelona FC saying that it was Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Busquets who invented tiki taka. I really don't care for tiki taka as I said, it bores me. Nothing you can do about, you can call me what you want, it's my personal taste and a really find it boring, even more boring that the cattenacio in the Calcio in the 90s, at least those were very disputed intense matches.

I'm aware of Lillo and Pep here in Mexico, they were close to here for a couple of years, Pep was once in our business, and I overcharged him. They didn't do very good btw.

betiko wrote:Anyway, if guardiola s team is remembered as the best in the history of football it s because of its results, extreme domination AND the eyecandy it was to watch it play.

Eyecandy? Lol. As exciting as watching Tiger goods win the masters.

I did like Iniesta a lot though, I'm not saying they are bad, they were extremely good, only boring.

we are still in primera indeed, till the end of the year. we are still playing in europe as well, and we are still playing the copa del rey (won 1-0 vs athletic on the first leg).

Congrats to your poster boy. great ballon d'or win. I never saw a player win so many things in just a year, leading his team to so many successes. Most deserved ballon d'or ever!

well at least it's a great operation for madrid, they are now 3 points away from barça and atleti. I'd love to see the atleti win this season. So fucking tired of Barça and Madrid winning every league in the past 10 years.
I am really impressed by the work done by Simeone.
I love how cristiana wasn't going in the first ceremony because everybody knew ribery had more votes, but then when they gave the "extra vote time", he knows he will win so not only he goes but he brings his whole family.

In France, PSG is now 5 points ahead of Monaco and 7 from Lille, as none of them won this week end.

Big surprise eh? As if this sport needed its players to be even more selfish and personal stats oriented. I am sure that winning a ballon d or means more to cristiana than winning a champion s league with his club.
