Dec. 20th -- 1 down, 15 to go.
Dec. 23rd -- got 4 done, 1/3 of the way to the 5th (Polymorph) and started my first No Forts game!
Dec. 26th -- got 8 done for sure now, plus pretty confident in my last 2 polymorphs, plus the bots should be easy, for a total of 12. Biggest problem is that the 9, 10, 11, 12 player games are taking forever to fill, and of course I'm not sure if I will win any of them, so I keep joining more "just in case". My other problem is that I have no idea how to go about winning a No Forts game.
Dec. 28th -- got 11/16 now, so I guess I should go do the bots games now and I'll have 14/16. I also have a ConquerMan game that's looking pretty good, and out of the 20 or 25 qualifying large games for item 13, I sure hope I win at least one.
Dec. 29th -- Okay bots done. I now have 14/16. Only ConquerMan and the big multiplayer remains. One of my ConquerMan games is looking like a probable win, and assuming I can win at least one of the many multiplayers I should have 16. Not going to stress about it, anyway. Don't need the 500 creds, so I could have stopped at 12; going for 16 was mainly an ego thing.
Dec. 30th -- Yup, got ConquerMan!
Jan. 14th -- Of the 30-something 9, 10, 11, and 12 player games that I joined, I finally won one!![]()

This is, in fact, the first non-team 12-player game that I have ever won.
Still have a bunch of others on the go, but this is the special one, the first...)

That's because you knew your 16 just weren't as cool as my 16!

Your 2014 16? How is that cool?? Are you rubbing that 2013 czechoslovak victory over me again that costed me a stamp??
sempaispellcheck wrote:Ladies and gentlemen, I am delighted to announce that I have completed the first and second stage of my review process.
The first stage involved finding game X and game Y for each setting, where X is the highest game number of all active and/or finished games that started on or before December 15th and Y is the highest game number of all active and/or finished games that started on or before December 31st.
These are the games that will be considered.
(NOTE: Because of the long times some types of games take to fill, a number of games that started between December 16th and 31st will not count because their game numbers are lower than X. For this, I sincerely apologize, but I want you to know that it was done in the interest of making my job easier and getting you your prizes faster.
HOWEVER, in fairness to those of you who have posted in this thread, I will count every game whose game number was posted in this thread, regardless of game number, as long as it started between December 16th and 31st.)
For your reference, I am posting here the values of X and Y for each map/setting, as well as which stamp it is/was good for):

The second stage of my review process involved finding the games which have game numbers between X and Y, but will not count for the challenge because they did not start in 2013. I can post these game numbers if you'd like, but I don't believe it would be worthwhile.
Now begins the third and final stage of my review process - actually checking the games.
In a way, this is the easiest part, since I don't actually have to go into any of the games.![]()
Thank you all for participating! I will get your prizes to you as soon as I can.
Best,
sempai

Easiest does not always equal quickest, unfortunately.
As I said before, I have been a bit busier than anticipated with non-CC stuff, but I'm doing the best I can.
