Did he PM you using that word?willedtowin1 wrote:I agree Shan.......
Using the C word just crosses the line imo no matter were
it is.
You got to put things in a context shannon. Freakns is always all about banter and saying silly things. Talking rationaly and seriously in reply to his banter just made him go further. It s not flame baiting, it s bantering. If you don t want to play his game... Well don t get into his game..Shannon Apple wrote:Don't worry about it willed. He came in there with the intention of stirring trouble with josko and I called him out on the very thing he made the attack based on. If you can't take it, don't dish it. I guess he couldn't take being told to look at himself before judging others. Poor kid.
I am not offended because I have come to expect this kind of behaviour from internet thugs. This site doesn't have any kind of rules against that form of flaming/trolling, so I guess the best thing to do is ignore it, which I am going to do. I said all I needed to say in the thread. He's just flame-baiting and I'm not gonna bite.

Its a sad state of affairs that anything is allowed here.Shannon Apple wrote:This site doesn't have any kind of rules against that form of flaming/trolling,
This response makes me more inclined to agree with Shannon. Is this really his common method of communicating? If it is then Shannon is right to point out that it's kinda hostile and maybe the mods should have a word.betiko wrote:You got to put things in a context shannon. Next time you're offended by a post, use the report post function. In this instance the Clan Directors would have looked into it.willedtowin1 wrote:Its a sad state of affairs that anything is allowed here.Shannon Apple wrote:This site doesn't have any kind of rules against that form of flaming/trolling,
I believe as CC is making changes they should address the behavior issues too.

How would you have judged it?Keefie wrote:Next time you're offended by a post, use the report post function. As you've posted it here, it's now with the C&A mods.

What s wrong with saying silly things? If they are not meant to be taken seriously.. This isn t even a case and it has nothing to do in here. A friendly warning by a clan director would ve solved this none issue.Symmetry wrote:This response makes me more inclined to agree with Shannon. Is this really his common method of communicating? Reading even more slowly I interpreted it as an allegory to what you saw as stirring trouble with josko.Shannon Apple wrote:When I read it more carefully just now. When I saw this report, before having read the post by freakns, I assumed he was trolling, because I quickly skimmed it via the link in the OP.
Have a look at it again willed, but read it slowly.
I hope this gets dealt with seriously. Sadly the word employed is pretty offensive to a lot of people. If it is the kind of language the player employs on a regular basis, as you suggested, a quiet word that it's annoying from a mod or two might be worth a try.betiko wrote:What s wrong with saying silly things? The guy from the OP just thinks he can seduce through internet playing the serving prince. Reporting this is completely silly, he could just ask freakns himself to tone it down.
Yes shannon you just fastposted me and I read it in the proper terms on the first read, that s why this thread is pointless and I don t get all the fuss. The tone was still ok.
I think the most disgusting word in the English language is "taxes".Shannon Apple wrote:When I read it more carefully just now. His formatting is terrible but, he wasn't calling me the "C" word. He could have said Congrats, which was too bland, so instead he 'spiced' his comments with friendly ribbing between frenemies.
We'd need josko to confirm ofcourse, but I'm given to understand this is an acceptable relationship with friends where insults are used instead of compliments.
(Or it could just be a Serb-Croat conflict, but I don't think I see anything as yet to indicate it wasn't said in jest)

A lot of people get offended by that word.betiko wrote:It s offensive only if you get offended.
