Unjoin tournament?

Post by jrbedwell »

Has this option been taken away? I joined an automatic tournament that was supposed to start at 23:00, and it's not filling up at all. Is there some reason I can't unjoin this? I know the option has been there before, but it's not there now.

TIA for any info.

Same question here, I joined over an hour ago... should these probably be cancelled after some point or allowed to be unjoined? I can't stay up through the night waiting, and when it eventually starts I'll be out a star and lose 50 points to my first round opponent (seeded by score...)

I believe that if there isn't enough people by the start time, it reverts to 24hr games.

This is the speed tournament being advertised across the top of the page right now, the start time was extended (I think?)

Can't say I've seen extended start times. In such cases, someone should be allowed to unjoin.

If it does extend, I'd say to allow unjoins on the first extension passed the original start time.

I could be wrong, it might have not ever had a start time, but does now. Point is I joined about an hour and a half ago and there's only 12/32 entrants as of a couple mins ago. I do love these autotournies, seems to get less busy later into the night though... I Just don't want to lose my star and 50 points :)

I searched that forum, and there wasn't anything on this topic. I also put it here in hopes that it would get more views. Feel free to move it if it's in the wrong place.

The tournament eventually started at 1:30am, a good 2:30 after the original start time. When I went to bed at midnight, an hour after the start time, it was still stuck on 11/36 players needed, and had been that was for about an hour. Really lame that I couldn't drop that, so I ended up losing points and deadbeating (I was asleep by that time).

Come on, Owen. You can't keep all topics out of GD. This is a pretty legit topic, if you ask me.

I think a suggestion to unjoin the Star-related tourneys as well would be nice. Not really in the mood for that now, 'cause it's weekend and all.
I'll just drop my 2 cents by saying I appreciate the auto-tourneys and have not yet seen any value in the Stars, but am interested in seeing what it will become in the future.

Wrong again! This question has nothing to do with Tournaments.

Bollocks.
