I'm not sure where to post this so I'll do it here. This game is ridiculous. A tourney game randomly spawned monsters map on F-ing fog trench. This map is impossible to win under these settings. You cannot use mindblast to assault because it resets to 3 every round. You can't get to the monsters because the shields reset every round. There is no possible way to win the game... Shouldn't these settings be disabled on this map to avoid a 50 round horrible game in the future?

are you for real? you are a brigadier and have soon played 7000 games and you didnt know you can attack from a killer neutral with trench

The Rules wrote:With trench warfare you can only assault from regions held continuously since the start of your turn. If you conquer a region (or re-conquer a region) you cannot assault further from that region during the same turn. The one exception being 'killer neutrals' (explained on the Gameplay Notes page) from which you may continue assaulting. The game no longer involves steamrolling across the board. Instead you gradually advance your front!

This misunderstanding seems to crop up fairly often. Maybe we need to publicize it some other way. I'll give it some thought.

That's exactly the case indeed. Otherwise it would be impossible to play a load of maps on trench, like you were experiencing.

I didn't hear about it either but I didn't need to, it was obvious to me that it had to work that way.

You're prob. just not that good at figuring out simple and obvious things.

I appreciate all of the creative criticism. It's not really "obvious" that you could do that without ever having played one before. I'm sure I could have somehow managed to figure it out as the game proceeded, if only I was as educated as demonfork.

It is obvious...

There are exactly 2 choices

1. You can attack thru killer neutrals.

2. You can't attack thru killer neutrals thus the setting is broken on maps with killer neutrals.

Given only 2 choices is it really that hard to figure out that you can attack thru killer neutrals in trench?

Do you honestly think that we could have gone this long without discovering a broken setting like this?
