Just want to let you know, it makes the rating system mean nothing when people trash your rating when you did nothing wrong and they just lie. Looks like Amethyst21 does this to everyone just randomly giving out bad ratings and saying people did things they did not.

Is this condsidered abuse? I think the rating system is a good idea but makes it pointless when guys ruin it with just lying about others.

suck it up, cupcake... fill out the form properly, give 5 examples of his abuse and a mod will look into it. people are nice around here, but if you look at his ratings left, the numbers just don't really seem to qualify for "ratings abuse"... and, everyone rates differently. do you think you deserve a 5 for your play? a lot of people rarely rate above 3 for average players, will you complain when someone gives you a three? ratings are just subjective... again, if you really think it is abuse, then give 5 examples of it and fill out the form properly... good lucky... sorry about your little butt...-el Jesus negro

The first posts were to inform you that you're being absurd expecting others to fill out forms the way you want them to, when you won't even fill out your complaint form the way the site tells you to if you want it taken seriously.

Second, one of your responses shows you don't respect others, so why should anyone here respect you?

Third, "a guy suicides on you for no reason." He may have had a reason. I've "suicided" before to change the outcome of the game to give me a hope of winning (assassin) and it nearly succeeded - it forced someone else to move a stack in order to 'protect' me from being taken out by whoever had me as a target, which enabled my smaller region to get closer to my target, close enough that if the dice had gone my way I would have won the game. But, to those watching, it would've looked like I suicided "for no good reason."

Fourth, there are no good guidelines for rating someone, and even if there were, there's no guarantee someone would use them appropriately - just as you didn't use the form for complaining appropriately despite there IS a guideline about that, right on the form itself. Some people rate "too high" consistently. Some people rate "too low" consistently. What is "too low" though? 3 is average but many consider 4.7 to be "low." That's a pretty wide spread of ideas about ratings.

Fifth, as someone pointed out, the guy mostly rated the bots which doesn't count anyway.

Finally, if you want to "complain" about stuff, go for it; just don't expect that everyone posting on the forum is going to agree with your opinion. They're like anuses - everyone's got one and some smell worse than others.

Anyway, concerning your case, you need to provide 5 examples of undeserved ratings and put all the proof here ( rating + link to the game at least).
Seems you are right, this guys is abusing rating system. But let's wait 5-10 more games and I think you can build a solid case against him.

You can pm for advice concerning how to make a good complaint for abusing the rating system.

Since I got here, I have tried to play games as fast as possible, have been polite, left others good ratings, and only played to win for myself in each game every turn. I have had two bad ratings and both of them were flat out lies. That is why I reported the last one. Im a good player and enjoy playing here, but first impression is there are quite a few asshats playing here AND now I see they also like to post in the forum just trying to be dicks

Looks like basically the second response to this thread is saying what Don said umpteen posts later. You chose to ignore it and instead namecall. Name calling isn't "polite." For that matter, ignoring the initial sound advice you got wasn't polite either.

You may not care for what I said, but I was POLITE. You may not care for what most of the others said, but most were POLITE.

stahrgazer, I don't know what's in for you there but you're wrong. Most of the responses to him were not what could expect a new guy here.

He has 7 post, 5 of them being on this topic. Therefore he probably didn't know the appropriate way of filling a complain. I did not either the first time I posted in this forum and I had totally no idea of where I am.

And most of the responses here were innapropriate, out of topic, useless, and people who did them should get block by the mod to post here imo.

Your response was only an additionnal post mainly against the OP. And I totally understand he didnt take your answer nicely.

Maybe this site will stop losing members when people start replying nicely to new people.
Had it been there for 5 years and if he had 100+ post maybe I could have understand some of the answers but

To some of you, if a person is quite new to the C&A forum, please give him some slack in case he is not familiar in creating a proper report. We are all here to help or to clarify the veracity of people's concerns. I know some of you offer your assistance in your own way but let's avoid putting people on the defensive if in case they reacted negatively to your post.
