Hm. I'm generally a snobby purist when it comes to stuff like this and hate revisions, and Evil Dead is very near and dear to my heart. But maybe you could pull it off. How well have you kept the slapstick in it?

I'm sure there are clips out there on YouTube. Most of the jokes/memorable lines from the movies are still in. It pulls elements from all three films to get it to full length. It's also got a lot of meta and self-reference (e.g Sam Raimi/Spiderman jokes) that reward fans of the films.

I have no idea how it measures up with Evil Dead fans in general, as this is the thing that finally got me around to watching Evil Dead. That said, it was fairly successful off-Broadway, so that suggests a strong following and at the very least not an outright rejection from that circle.

Also, no tree rape. Script cuts out before that, and we just have her running away.

Star Trek's simplest, but most effective effect is having the actors throw their bodies in one direction while shaking the camera. Redditors took the time to stabilize these shots — i.e., show what they would look like if the cameras were actually still — and the results are ridiculous.
