If the person who called DIBS falls out of position before (within 3) the current competition if final does DIBS get cancelled?

Dukasaur posted that he lost two against Leehar...

So I guess I have dibs after you?
No...you cannot "reserve" DIBS...Rule #16
That would be called "double dibbing"
Isn't that how Caff got dibs originally? I don't recall him calling dibs after Duk?
But then I did call dibs, and if saying "I have dibs after such and such" doesn't count then I call dibs now, since nobody else has done that directly.
Leehar wrote:You seemed to call it as if you already had dibs, rather than calling for dibs at that point. I assumed it was from the dibs request before Duk challenged me.
If Chuck was happy with that as the latter statement, then I certainly don't have any qualms.
Nonetheless, my understanding was that if mg had called dibs, rather than asking if he could call dibs, that request would have taken precedence, but again, it's no monkey off my back, and I'm happy with Chuck calling the shots as he sees fit.
So with all that said, challenge accepted.
celliottii wrote:do ya'll see that grrrrrrrrrrrr up there? It means I'm a bit frustrated...we're all grown ups, playing a game...with all due respect, but some of ya'll have been acting/sounding like little kids about DIBS.
Let me be clear on this....
Leehar and Dukasaur are playing right now for the #1 spot....
iAmCaffeine is #2 and therefore cannot challenge anyone, so he can call DIBS and did call DIBS....iAC has to wait until Leehar has played another challenge before he can vie for the #1 again...so iAC has DIBS....period.
MGSteve did not know that he could not reserve DIBS....so NO ONE is in line for DIBS until after Lee and Duk finish their match.
If you are still confused, upset, or pissy....then please refer to Rule #24.
Now, I could break out the Dan Patrick "Wheel of Punishment" if anyone else wants to chime in on this in a negative way...![]()

I know I definitely won't have the energy to climb up from the bottom if thats ever necessary again!

Leehar is damn-near unbeatable. Only I ever beat him, once in four series. Three games out of fourteen.

Banged your head over the weekend? I should have had him last time, and he knows it.

To participate in the Ladder, you only need to be a SoC Student, Teacher, or Graduate...so you're good to go.

Got you down for DIBS...but you are #3 right now, so Elric's evil plan won't affect you.

Good luck Roy.
iAmCaffeine wrote:Extreme luck can do that Leehar. In Conquer 500, it wouldn't really make a difference if you'd missed or not. You've played the map once and lost.

By that token you had played thrice and lost thrice on Spanish armada, but still blamed that on extreme luck.
