If I'm complaining about retaliatory feedback, I just pm wicked right?
Well I did about 4 days ago and she hasn't responded to a single message? Is she the one who is in charge of feedback or someone else?
Its not that I'm complaining about the fact that its a difference in playing styles, its more like because I left him feedback first and then he proceeds to neg feedback me in revenge.

Just because you leave somebody feedback first doesn't automatically make it revenge feedback if he gives you one. Check out the Instructions page to brush up on the Feedback Guidelines.

thats the loop hole in the system. would he have left the feedback if he dint receive one first.... nope. But as long as it is worded properly and it meets the guidlines, it stands. Thats what your asking this player to read. No need for him to click on the link.

Unless you can predict the future JR, you have no idea if a player would have left you one even if you didn't. But if you care about your feedback that much, and the mods won't touch it because it follows the guidelines, you can always try and work it out with the person and reach a mutual understanding.

I have. I cant post the replies because the forum will filter the words. Thats what happens when you deal with kids. the guidelines need to be strengthen. make the player support documentation which includes but not limited to moves and turn numbers with desciptions on why they felt the feedback should be left.. Than you wont have the stupid responses " he played poorly" or " just joined for hi cause" like I have on my account.

I'm perfectly aware of the rules. And if you say that this isn't retaliatory feedback then I'll live with it. I mean it seems to me leaving feedback such as "player has a secret alliance" in response to a complaint about him purposely deadbeating is asinine. I don't quite care if the mods don't remove the feedback but I would like a clarification of the rules because I once left feedback on another player after he left me neg feedback and it was deleted as retaliatory feedback. If you want to see what it says, it goes like this:
********* consistently whines and verbally abuses other players without provocation.
Deleted by moderator for this reason: Retaliatory feedback
(original feedback left on me was once again accusing me of secret alliances - such paranoid ppl u play with sometimes)
I don't quite see how this is retaliatory if I left it because the player was in fact doing such things and which would ruin other player's game experience. Just so no one flames, I'm not complaining about the neg feedback on me or one I left that was deleted, I just want a clarification of how the feedback system works.

I have read it and the rules are incredibly sketchy thats why I stated that I want a clarification of the rules. Rules are meant to be crystalized (akin to laws) so it would be nice if moderators would at least have some standards for "judgement calls" so that their "judgement calls" can't be accused of being based on prejudices or hunches (not that the moderator staff is one or the other, but occasionally you will meet a player that will insist on biases on the part of the moderators).
wicked wrote:Lev, it's a disagreement in playing styles. He thought you had a secret alliance, so is well within his righs to leave you feedback on that.
I understand that wicked, as I have stated just now, I don't really care about that anymore, but I do want you or someone on the mod team to clarify what constitutes as retaliatory feedback. See my previous post about neg feedback I had left which was deleted and the reason cited being "retaliatory feedback".
To quote from the rules:
"Do not leave retaliatory feedback (i.e. leave negative feedback in revenge of negative feedback). "
I do not believe that me leaving feedback regarding the other player's negative behaviors in game constitutes retaliatory feedback just as much as you believe his disagreement in my playing style constitutes retaliatory feedback. The only difference between the 2 is that one can be proved and the other is just a guess (which doesn't really fit in with "Leave only fair and factual comments that relate to a specific game." but w/e since the mod team has decided that it is valid feedback).
Do a search of the forum for posts written by me with the words retaliatory + feedback. I've written enough about it already. I've found the more I've told about what we look for, the sneakier people get in leaving it.
Considering the plethora of whining cheesewankers that we have on this site, that file capricious complaints and accusations almost as fast as the spambabies clog up the forum (not implicating you lev), it's a wonder that the mods can keep up with it all. Wicked has always done an outstanding job in dealing with nfs (even though she removed mine when i didn't want her to, and wouldn't give it back) - she and the other mods are to be commended.

Actually, I don't think we take appeals on feedback moderation.
Lev, we can't clarify what exactly constitutes negative feedback. It is rarely a black-and-white issue and boils down to a judgement call which not everyone will agree with.
