Holding me hostage and not ending the speed game when I have two territories left and he has the two spots surrounded by three big stacks!

In this case it looks like neither party is truly innocent. I do not know why guido74 did not end the game a turn or two sooner but the game was only about 10 rounds and during the last two of those rounds BIG_John appears to have been intentionally missing turns. Also the language on both sides is rather hostile. It would probably be best to foe and move on.

I missed one turn because my internet went down and then he wasn't finishing the game so why should I keep playing to just deploy on myself and end my turn! I'm not sure what games you play but I am not going to hang around just to do that while he goes around attacking all the neutrals! Sorry!

Can't help bad internet connection but how it seems to all of God gift to CC that it is my fault then don't worry about this and drop it! If I ever play you guys And win I will do it to you guys and see how you like it

Play possum. If he wants to hold you hostage, just deadbeat out. Occasionally you will get the hostage taker to lose interest in the game when you deadbeat and you get to log in and steal the points.

I'm not going to deadbeat to get free points but Im not going to sit there and keep playing when the game could have been over 3 or 4 turns ago. I won't do it! I beat guys on speed games and when they get to a point they just quit and I have to sit there and wait there time out and I don't complain about that or report them for that!

Unless it's unquestionably clear that a person is being held hostage, the mods won't do anything. If it's undeniably clear, then the mods will suggest the person stops.

In the case of a speed game, it will have already stopped, so there won't even be a need to tell the player to stop.

As a player who has encountered this, my suggestion was as above. As a player who has witnessed the outcome of such reports, my suggestion remains as above.

I understand that this is one of your favourite places to post and you would like to encourage a new, very active player (a good candidate for a rookie of the month, in my book) to waste his time posting here so that others can take cracks at him, for your personal pleasure. But I thought I should give him some practical advise without the disparagement or need to deal with the experienced C&Aers.

Thanks for the info sabotage! A learning process for me. Next time I will just let them do it and stay away from here
