Well it is after game one, and the ducks won game one.
3-2.

I am still going for the Sens on this one.
I call Ottawa in 5 games.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FUCKING MISSED THE GAME!

I've been so into my 'gonna totally chill out and do nothing for Memorial Day' thing that I totally forgot the damn thing was on.

I am a bad human being and deserve to be beaten with sticks. And maybe checked into the boards by Pronger, thus leaving me with a hockey-quality tooth dispersal.

lol, well I really was thinking I was going to miss it, but we just stopped at a friends house and asked if we could watch his the game on his TV and he said yes, so we did.

Really I don't know what we could bet with, but it's fun.

Hating the Ducks more each day.

At least they dropped the Disney affiliation and the Mighty adjective.

My Chicago Blackhawks didn't make it....AGAIN! I'm starting to think it's not just the Cubs trying to ruin my life.

I picked Ottawa BTW.

(and I actually managed to watch most of this one... unfortunately, I had to listen to the first period on the appallingly bad radio channel that carries the Ducks games. The whole 5-on-3 Ottawa had in the first period? I could kind of make out the fact that the play-by-play guy was yelling alot, but actual words could not penetrate the veil of static. I then proceeded to maliciously run down a troupe of Girl Scouts, so complete was my rage)

Going back to that, I think that when they had the mighty in there name they did not play as well. It's the Disney curse. Dear Lord pray that Disney does not want to make a cartoon flick out of your team.

I hate it when there are shutouts in the finals.

Lets see how Ottawa handles them on there home ice next game.

you are all trippin. The Ducks are going to dominate this series. If anyone is going to "win in 5" it'll be Anaheim for sure. I bet the ducks take at least one game in Ottawa. Ottawa's got nothing.

Stronger Offence, Stronger Defence and a way more experienced goalie.

You got Number 1 and Number 2 D in the entire NHL, and debatebly in the World. Who can top that?

If anyone was going to beat the Ducks it would have been the wings. But Wings got super unlucky.

Disney already made a cartoon series, years and years ago.

Oh, and they weren't exactly terrible as the Mighty Ducks. 12 (or so) seasons, 4 playoff appearances, one western conference title, one conn smythe winner, one of the most impressive one-two scoring punches in hocckey history, record attendance figures...

That being said, I'm glad the 'mighty' is gone as well... tho I always thought it would be a laugh for 'mighty ducks of anaheim' to be permanently engarved on Lord Stanley's Cup.
