This is a Tournament Players Association Year 5 [TPA5] event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments which are detailed here: viewtopic.php?f=89&t=207126
All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You do not need to do anything more than join one or more of the TPA5 events that will be announced on Mondays. Check back on the scoreboard to see how you're doing:

This TPA5 Premier tournament was originally run in TPA3 two years ago. I heard a lot of positive feedback, so I think people will enjoy another shot at it.
Salient Assassinations In History
Game Load and Format: 1 game will begin every week for 18 weeks. We will not wait for games to end before starting subsequent games; only premium players may participate due to the possibility of many simultaneous games. If you miss two consecutive invites in a single round, the game will be re-made without you and you will lose your right to compete in that round. However, if your score remains positive (see Scoring below) and you communicate a reasonable explanation for your miss, you may still be re-admitted to compete in subsequent rounds.
Game Settings: All games will be Assassin, with Automatic Deployment, Sequential Turns, Chained Reinforcements, a 30 round limit and No Trench.
Spoils and Fog Status vary as indicated below.
The target is to make games 6-player whenever possible; it will however be necessary to sometimes make 5- or 7- player games to balance the numbers, and it is even conceivable that in the later stages a few 4-player games will sneak in.
Scoring: All players will begin with 5 points, and score additional points as follows:
Winning a game by killing your target -- 7 points
Winning a game by map victory conditions on maps that allow it -- 4 points
Winning a game by any other means (ie. round limit) -- 3 points
Surviving a game (not winning, but still being on the board at the end) -- 0 points
Losing by being assassinated -- minus 1 point
Losing by deadbeating from a game -- minus 5 points
Losing by killing the wrong target -- minus 7 points

If at any time that I update scores, your score is negative, you will be eliminated from the tournament. Since there will be multiple games at various times, it is entirely possible that you may become negative at some point and still win another game which will bring your final score back into the positive range. However, the elimination will stand. A positive final score will improve your standing for TPA scoring purposes, but will not gain you re-admission.
I will try very hard to do a score update at least every second week, provided that at least one map has no more games. If for some reason I am unable to update the scores and I somehow miss the fact that you should have been in the negatives, then that is a freebie and you squeek through.
Conscription:
The tournament is designed for some multiple of six players, and all games will be six player. Inevitably people do drop out, and instead of having long delays while I search for replacement players, I will use a "conscription rule" as I have used very successfully with my 7 games tournament in TPA4.
If someone drops out of the tournament and leaves us short, I will "conscript" some players to play more than one game. Being conscripted to play an extra game will obviously give you a bit of an advantage, so this advantage will be distributed evenly by keeping a "concription list." Nobody will be conscripted twice until everyone has been conscripted once, nobody will be conscripted three times until everyone has been conscripted twice, and so on.
