1000 unique kills to platinum...wow, that's such bullshit. Especially as you only get 1 of those unique kills per game, maximum. Not enough players on the site that will play polymorphic (still quite a niche setting) to make enough poly games to get that medal...

yeah... i find the majority of my poly opponents are users like me... people that have lost their partners, due to friends/partners leaving the site... had poly been available back when we had almost 30K members, can you imagine what would have been done with it? great addition to the site... wish it had been sooner... but BW wasn't around then, so you can't really bitch, can you? the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir

The other thing is...how many active premium members are there now? As poly is premium only, that reduces your pool of unique kills even further. I know the same is true for speed games, but all my unique defeats for speed games came from an era where the site had more active players.

There's quite a few people who don't really like Poly, but will play it if there's a tournament medal involved. (Myself, for instance, but I know quite a few others.) Instead of looking for unique kills in public games, you should sign up for tournaments that use Poly. You'll find plenty of new opponents who don't play the setting in public games.

Getting to platinum isn't supposed to be easy. It's supposed to be a multi-year quest that requires patience and dedication.

However, getting yourself into some poly tournaments will certainly net you quite a few new unique kills.

True enough, but before that happens I'm guessing you can probably find something between 100 and 200 new opponents that you won't find in public games.
