i think am making progress, now in map 25 Bora Bora but I don;t know if I am ahead of most or behind most - any way to get a more conventional game standings - who is first, second third, sort of thing?

Since it's the first one to get to the top destination (Paris) whoever is in the 25th (Beijing) is considered very far behind. So if you are in the location with the lowest number, you are in the lead. If you are there with other players then you are equally positioned. So if you check the second post under the "destinations" spoiler, the players' names are there. The one that is the furthest from the goal is at the destination that is on the top. If you open the spoiler, you can find your name under a picture of a location and that is your position. Hopefully this gives anyone that is confused a way to understand the second post in the future.

This has been quite a long tourney and sometimes us players can get a little complacent and take things for granted. BUT

same here, hard to figure where I stand at the race to the top.

the way I see it you use a series of trip routes that makes obvious sense to you but is totally confusing to geographically challenged people like me.

Its like to me, if I was in a race, the obvious way to go from my home to a particular location in my city is to take Main Street to the Lincoln Expressway, cut off at Mohawk, head north to Limeridge, and then east to James- and if I' am racing someone from Eastgate and they are now on Fennell while I am on East 3rd, they are winning the race. and if the guy from Dundas in the race is just passing Mac he is third. Makes sense to me but not to anyone not familiar with the city

so maybe a whose first, second third listing please

Its hard work running a tourney, particularly one of this depth and lenght. and often under appreciated and under supported- Your call how to proceed.

The TDs should have some sort of back-up system built in- e..g.one of the brothers or sisters could take over, even just for a few weeks to give it a painless death. Or someone eager to learn how to do tourneys, could take/ be assigned this one as a apprenticeship, doing all the dirty dull work, with you as some sort of adviser/mentor/master.

I appreciate your participation in these tourneys but as it is obvious that I'm having trouble finding time to continue I wanted to inquire as to whether everyone wants to do one of two things:

1. Continue playing to the end, or
2. The player closest to winning being awarded the win, or if there are more than one player in that position, they play one one final game to determine the winner.


Please let me know what you want to do either via PM or in the thread of the tourney you are playing in. I'll give it a week or so to determine since you all have been so patient with me.
