I find that hard to believe, as most CCers I know who have left did so because of offline commitments, and several have returned once those commitments were satisfied.BigBallinStalin wrote:1. Membership has been falling because CC members allocate more/all their leisure time to other online games of similar enough characteristics.

In any case, while I agree with you that an improvement in the mobile version of CC would be spectacular, I believe that CC had several advantages over its competitors - such as number/variety of maps, variety of game options, tournaments, clans/tribes, etc.
From where I'm standing (having taken off my gold TeamCC shoes), CC itself is not at fault for the decline in its membership. This decline is due to factors quite beyond CC's control, and the site does not have any real power to address it.

CC is like Nokia, obstinately pursuing its traditional hardware manufacturing while Samsung greases its penis and gets ready to make Finland squeal.

There are several RISK-clone apps in both Android and Apple's stores that now have million+ downloads. McGill is turning over in its grave...

Downloads or active users? Thats a big, big difference. Many download games, most dont continue playing them.
