Getting mac was only part of his reasoning, as we have witnessed many times from what Confed has stated himself.

I would suggest that it's because there is a lot more invested in a tournament:
game load for the players and their investment
prizes
organisers' work load and their investment
the fact that tournaments in all walks of life have rules
I believe it's generally common knowledge and belief that tournaments are held in higher regard than non-tournament games. World Cups are a pretty good example.

Because the ruling has been made on what you said (which i agree it should be a warning) and not on what actually happened then how can we know what the stance of c and a will be.
Like mini flockton if i cannot win i will take out the fallen member. This preventing him from a possible tourney win with me having no chance of winning it. Not gonna give my reason because it will make it more complex.
All i wanted was correct facts so we can have a correct result for what happened.

On a more serious note, both statements are correct. ConfederateSS chose to suicide into macattacker. The fact is, he did for two joint reasons: because macattacker had deadbeated in other games and to prevent me from winning the tournament. ConfederateSS has essentially said this himself. I've actually lost count of his number of reasons (read: excuses); typically, if someone has a legitimate reason it's singular, not multiple that change with every new post.

I agree that confederate deserved a warning here but i cant believe the "precedent" is that its ok to do this under ANY circumstances.

well, i'm hoping a moderator can do it or an admin. as i said before they made the ruling, that is a dangerous precedent to set. they have made it, they have enforced it in a separate case and now the flood gates are about to open. i don't see how it is ok in ALL GAMES, except tournament games. it just wasn't a smart precedent to set and then upholding it? wow...=-Jésus noir

There is a lot to read here, but only relevant posts are the first, where we lay out the accusation AND the admission, and the one belonging to the Admin, King A, who delivers an uninformed ruling. Were I still a TD, I would not have any ability to pass judgement, but I would campaign strongly for it. Not sure what the punishment is on the scale, but this goes against the spirit of tournament competition at the very least. Confed wasn't playing for a victory, wasn't playing to better his positioning within the tourney, he did what he did to prevent one person from winning the game, and another from winning a tournament. It shouldn't happen. Unfortunately, it's also impossible to replay the game.
In a way, this is a bit like a bad call in a sporting event. It ruins the game, leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth, but no punishment is going to fix any of it. Were I still running tournaments, I'd blackball Confed. And yes, I did have a small list of players I wouldn't allow, though I never had to use it, mostly because the feeling became mutal; and by the sounds of it, Confed is done with tourneys now anyway.
This really sucks, and as a former Director and Organizer, it bothers me, but in the end, I guess I really wouldn't know what to do with it.

But I did deal out some frontier justice on a deadbeater with no explanation. Just as Caff was seeking his own revenge. By Bogus Witch Hunt Justice. He had a bad ruling against him. Truthfully I can't blame him. I agree with him. What a Pandora's Box C.C. just opened.
-----However,I get to have one super laugh. Because, I was having fun with Caff. After he wrote something after I had already taken my turn. Instead of looking at the scuttlebutt. People should have looked at the facts. ***THE TIME LINE***....I took my turn attacking Mac for deadbeating and Loose,he was next to me also. Not knowing the outcome. After the game.
----At 4:31 on Oct.20th.(I'm going by my timezone US est). Caff wrote on my wall. I erased it. It says, I'll erase anything written on my wall. But I still have it in my e-mail account.
----At 4:47 am on Oct.20th. Caff wrote in GEN.CONGRATS. laughing,"Congrats to ConfedSS ruining someone else's guaranteed win by suiciding, just so I couldn't win.

So why didn't he file a report at 4:30am on Oct.20th? If what he thinks to be true. He took the time to mess with me and tried to make fun of me in GEN.CONGRATS. I turned it on him.

How about someone deadbeating in 3/4 games in the final round of the tourney? Then start playing the other 3,no explanation. That's who screwed up the tourney.

I came across something curious. I thought when Caff said,Mac had explained deadbeating in the report. He meant in THE GAME CHAT afterwards. It turns out. Caff already knew about Mac's reason for deadbeating. Mac wrote his cruise excuse in Caff's thread on Oct 5th. That's nice Mac found the time to write in one of Caff's threads. If Mac would of taken the time to write his excuse in our game chat,when he started playing again,we all could have known. This little episode would never have happened.
