giving someone premium--when does flat out cash not count

why not pay the $30 flat out to buy someone a membership instead of stupid buying credit bs..? lets just give you the money and be over it.

ive never worked so hard to give you money.

But took away the UPGRADE spot and the picture of a gift for those who wanted to give one. You're correct it is a lot of work to try and give them your money. so basically, let me understand this nonsense...

if i buy myself a membership its 30....but to buy someone else one (which brings business to this site) i have to spend 50 for 3500 credits...

this is ludicrous

not a great way to run a business.

Its like going to Dennys...buy myself a grandslam breakfast for 8.99 but for me to buy my friend a grandslam breakfast, i first need to purchase dennys credits for 15.

That hides the truth, let's be honest. You cannot purchase premium for another member at the same price as yourself as you have to purchase a set number of credits, which results in leftovers and more money.

To purchase 12 month premium it is exactly the same price for you or someone else, UNLESS you choose to subscribe and get the discount. Yes you have to get more credits etc but that's not what I said, I was specifically addressing the specific number of credits are equal for you or others. Not hiding anything you & everyone else are happy to point out the purchase quantities, I'm talking about whether you have 3500 credits or 10,000 credits in your account, it'll cost the same to get 12 month for you or someone else.

So, you either buy 3750 credits @ $40 or 5200 @ $50. That is, quite clearly, more expensive. Trying to hide it is pitiful.

I was aware of that. However, the issue is that to purchase someone else a premium membership has to be done with credits, ergo more money has to be spent. The fact that the "amounts" are the same is irrelevant and misleading when it's clear cost is the primary concern.

If you're not purchasing through credits you pay $29.99. Yet this option isn't available to buy for someone else, which leads me to question the system on the basis it contributes to the ongoing decline in membership.

You keep bypassing the actual costs involved and just focusing on the amount of credits required. Bravo.

To purchase premium for somewhere else you spend a minimum of $40, whereas it's $29.99 for yourself. This doesn't take potential existing credits into account, and nor should it.

And you keep missing the fact you're talking about two different products.
Product one is a 12 year reoccurring subscription (you get a discount!)
Product two is a 12 year non subscription (you pay full price)

I'm not missing the fact, I'm ignoring it because that is not what the discussion is about. To add insult, I just went into the store for a little experiment and in the checkout the customer isn't even told how much they're about to spend before proceeding with the order.
