It's called 'ask mrs wdk a question', not 'mrs wdk is compelled to satisfy all your filthy curiosities'.

I plan on playing an EU 4 game again soon, from the earliest starting position on the timeline (1444, the rise of the ottomans traditionally). However, I plan on playing in Asia for my next game. I've thought about playing as Ming, since I've haven't played much in that area. Here are some references links:

Note that if I wanted, I could start later in the timeline and play as on the minor Chinese states after Ming has fallen apart. Any thoughts?

If I was looking to play a game with a bit of an alternative, 'interesting' feel to it I'd probably pick Qin, Yan or Zhou upon the dissolution of the Ming (probably the Yan, as they are good northerners). That said, I generally just try to dominate everyone as thoroughly as possible, and so for that reason my preference would be to start as the Ming and have the whole region under my control already.

In Civ 4 I'm a big fan of playing as China on the 1000AD scenario, because it's pretty easy to build an Asian super empire from my Chinese hub and make myself untouchable.
