At this pint I leen towards beliving IB's role clam. I just haven't quit decidded if he's being troothful about the full extent of his allegiance or the benifits to him.

So far, IB has been teh only one to make a firm accusation against another player, as in claiming to have special knowledge of that player. He says that lynching HotShot would be good for Town. We don't know if he is being truthful (although I am inclined to believe him), but in making that accusation he has given us something of a litmus test: We can lynch HotShot and see what he flips and go from there. If he is an escaped murderous loony, all good. If he is something else, we look very hard at IB.

IB knows that his head will be on teh chopping block if his accusation against HotShot turns out to be false, so the only worry for us is that he IS in fact a Jester or something similar and lynching HotShot wins the game for him and not for Town. I think I might be prepared to take the chance and lynch HotShot, but it would be good to hear more from HotShot as to why we should spare him.

It's not a great lead but, as I say, it is the only litmus test we have right now.

Of course, no need to rush into anything. We can just sit back and see what else emerges as D1 drags on.

Patrick, Patrick, Patrick: you're kind of doing what you did in teh other game we played. You seem to be saying 'I am good and I am not going to contribute further' and this makes you look a bit scummy. What we need from you are reads of various players - IB and Storr, for example - and assessments of various events. Fer example, what do you make of IB's claim?

In that other game you looked very scummy and attracted a lot of votes, but you were actually Town, so I'll bear that in mind. Slight FOS @ DJP, tho.

It's a possibility, but I don't quite buy into it yet. I've only played one game with IB, and he got NKed on N1, but I get teh impression he's experienced enough that he would go about getting HotShot lynched in a more subtle manner than just saying 'Hey, let's lynch HotShot!'. Also, if he only has one lynchee, the game wouldn't be all that balanced, and teh mods have stressed that they tried for balance. There is too much of a possibility that enough people would jump on the HotShot bandwagon and end the game early, especially since only 11 are needed to lynch. On the other hand, if IB has multiple lynchees, we have nothing to lose by lynching HotShot. If he flips clean, we take out IB on D2.

Actually I would not be done. Lets get this straight as well so I do not keep repeating. As long as I am alive,regardless of who dies or who gets lynched, I will continue to have a voice and a vote.

from what i understand of lyncher, whether he wins or not, town still has its own win condition that can be achieved alongside lyncher....so if lyncher (IB) wins this does not mean that town has lost.

i wonder if ib is allowed to answer this one question.

I will say this. The person who is a threat to town, who will cause harm to town may or may not be mafia. Definitely anti town.

I am sure a game this size will have several factions/alignments.

Until more roles are revealed and people flip, flavor speculation would be pointless.

I am not allowed to give the role BUT I also received clearance to full claim MY role.

You may infer from that if you so choose.

guess im leaning more toward believing IB it seems to be the strongest lead we have... not voting yet as we haven't heard from everyone and someone might be able to reveal something else.. also some ppl seem to think it might not be the best idea so im not entirely committed to it yet, i think i need to read up on all of the roles everyone is dropping as i have never heard of them.

I have no problem with 11.It certainly makes forcing claims and lynching easier.

We have 9 days. Until hotshot comes fourth there really is nothing more for me to say on my role and why I claimed.

There is a special condition in effect on D1 that reduces the number required too lynch by 4. It was mentioned in teh post that began D1.
