HH vs VDLL 19-22 of 41 - VDLL Win FINAL 5/23

Post by Keefie »

Image vs Image

Four years ago HH and VDLL fought in a very tough war in which VDLL emerged as victors by 21 games to 20. Well HH have finally invoked the rematch clause we had in our contract. So, with the exception of the players these two noble clans will be recreating that epic battle. Same maps, same settings.

The Headless Horsemen and de Veroveraars der Lage Landen are proud to present

The Rolling Back the Years war.

I remember that war very well, the suspense of the last few games was killing. Let's see if we can make this another war to remember.
Have fun, HH!

I dare not foresee the outcome... I think it's awesome that after five years, we're making the challenge too close to call... again!
Good luck in the final games.

I count 21 VDLL with World2.1 still undecided. Age of Merchants and Napoleonic Europe should be ours, Prohibation Chicago and BeNeLux should be yours.

I had 4 troops versus 2 to kill Tuono in AORII but didn't get the dice. Looks like it may have come down to that :(

Well played VDLL, you're a great clan and a nice bunch of guys =D> =D> =D>

Yep, this clanwar should be ours with a very probable 22-19 win, to replace the 21-20 win from five years ago.
I think this shows very well that our clans are evenly matched and have stayed like this throughout the years. My gut feeling told me something like that when we started this and I bet you had the same, Keefie (and probably some other old-schoolers as well).

Lucky for us we won, because it really could've gone either way. We tried our hardest and fought some great battles, as did the Headless Horsemen. I wanna thank ya'll for a clanwar in which great sportmanship has been shown.

See you in five years ;)

What JB said. Not only was this war almost as close as the last one, but I found enjoyment in every game mainly because our opponents were very nice people in chat, with an extra shoutout to chickencheese, a player which was a little frustrated with the dice, and rightly so, in a great and laughing manner. I don't know the English term, but leedvermaak/schadenfraude will do.

We had a good one and I hope you guys did too, well played.
