Hey champ, as far as I know paedophilia is forbidden everywhere in europe as well.Phatscotty wrote:Just as simply as the first time love was redefined via marriage rights based on tax codes, as soon as a single un-elected lifetime appointed state supreme court judge from a single state feels like coming out of the closet as a pedophile that refuses to be discriminated against any longer overturns a democratically derived Constitutional amendment by ruling...

Anything that can be redefined can and should expect to be redefined again.
That has never stopped Phatts into turning everything into us vs THEM. Now that Trump has taken over the Republican Party and proves to the Republican Party that people aren't as conservative as it thought they were, but are just a bunch of racists and bigots.waauw wrote:Hey champ, as far as I know paedophilia is forbidden everywhere in europe as well.Phatscotty wrote:Just as simply as the first time love was redefined via marriage rights based on tax codes, as soon as a single un-elected lifetime appointed state supreme court judge from a single state feels like coming out of the closet as a pedophile that refuses to be discriminated against any longer overturns a democratically derived Constitutional amendment by ruling...

Oops. I was thinking of incest being totes kewl in many advanced evolved European countries. At least that was the addendum though and not the actual ruling so totes kewl totes. However parents can marry their children in at least a few European countries which neatly one-ups the pedophilia aspect so this is kinda like the mystery chunk missing from the moon. It does in fact look like a chunk is missing, but really there isn't.waauw wrote:Hey champ, as far as I know paedophilia is forbidden everywhere in europe as well.Phatscotty wrote:Just as simply as the first time love was redefined via marriage rights based on tax codes, as soon as a single un-elected lifetime appointed state supreme court judge from a single state feels like coming out of the closet as a pedophile that refuses to be discriminated against any longer overturns a democratically derived Constitutional amendment by ruling...

Phatts is lost and now has to rethink his positions to realign himself with the new GOP!
Not really. All European states (as far as I'm aware) allow sexual activity with children under the age of 18, they just tend to draw the line somewhere in the mid- to late-teens rather than out-and-out legalizing it for all children.waauw wrote:Hey champ, as far as I know paedophilia is forbidden everywhere in europe as well.Phatscotty wrote:Just as simply as the first time love was redefined via marriage rights based on tax codes, as soon as a single un-elected lifetime appointed state supreme court judge from a single state feels like coming out of the closet as a pedophile that refuses to be discriminated against any longer overturns a democratically derived Constitutional amendment by ruling...

Besides your post indicating Pedophilia is so okay that it's not a big deal anymore, I've been puzzled by your approach on this one and note you have been doing a little steering. But I think I figured it out on my third scenario of pertinent thoughts. I remember you had been typecast as mr pedophilia and it even haunted you a bit. You got sick of it and are now starting to give in and that has led to you carpetbagging issues unto me.mrswdk wrote:Not really. Then again, the same is true in a lot of American states and has been for some time, so I think Phats has rather missed the boat with this one.
well, looks where Democrat types once fought for legalization of slavery and against America/for the Confederacy. Looking where that got them.... using the lens of your choosing and in the same context, I might conclude your point is that over the long term 90-95% of homosexuals will vote Republican???mrswdk wrote:I couldn't care less if OT's more regressive voices disagree with me on this. With that last comment I was just pointing out that 'pedophilia' is legal in quite a lot of US states as well as European ones.

Democrat vs Republican? please name just 1 country (in the entire world) in which marring your child is legal.Phatscotty wrote:Oops. I was thinking of incest being totes kewl in many advanced evolved European countries. To take a couple of examples: in the UK and the Netherlands it is legally permissible for adults aged 18+ to have sexual relations with children aged 16 or 17. I imagine the legal systems of a large number of other European states also allow for legal minors and legal adults to engage in sexual relations in this way. Hence my point about drawing the line somewhere in the mid- to late-teens.betiko wrote:lol... WTF are you talking about? seriously you are mentally disturbed.mrswdk wrote:Not really. In both those cases it's still pedophilia on the part of the legal adult.betiko wrote:well it depends on the case, like if you have a couple between a 20yo and a 17yo for example, it's not the same thing that if they are 60 and 17.
In most countries, someone aged 0-17 is a child and 18+ is an adult.by the way... stop calling teenagers childs. There is a big difference between a 8yo and a 16yo, mostly when it comes to sex.
I was not aware that in France it is considered normal for pedophiles to escape conviction for having sex with minors by claiming they thought the girl was an adult, but I defer to your greater level of knowledge when it comes to these things.I know that in france the appearance has a lot to do. Like if some guy has sex with a 15yo that told him she was 19... and that the girl looks really older and tricked him, there are good chances nothing will happen... and I think it's normal.
stop being ridiculous. An 8yo would never decide to have sex. A pubert would.. which would be around 13yo. By 16yo I guess half of the world population has had consentual sex with someone roughly their age. If a 17 years old has sex with a 14yo it's ok, but if they are still together 1 year later... and it's a 18yo with a 15yo it's a pedophile?mrswdk wrote:In both those cases it's still pedophilia on the part of the legal adult.betiko wrote:well it depends on the case, like if you have a couple between a 20yo and a 17yo for example, it's not the same thing that if they are 60 and 17.

There are a few exceptions (e.g. in Middle Eastern countries the cut-off ages range between 15 and 21), but in the vast majority of countries (including France) anyone under the age of 18 is a child.

I agree that a lot of laws are highly arbitrary.betiko wrote:stop being ridiculous. An 8yo would never decide to have sex. A pubert would.. which would be around 13yo. There is a difference: pedophilia as a term refers to sex with pre-puberty kids. Most european countries set the age of consent somewhere in their teens. Technically this isn't pedophilia. That's how it is in most of the world.mrswdk wrote:Not really.
