This is one thing I like about Canada's rating system. It's a lot less strict, but if it's R rated and you're underage, you're not allowed to see it even if an adult accompanies you.

I don't shield my children from issues that they will face in life.
The way I look at it is each child is different, and each child grows mentally and physically different. A parent knows when it is the right time to talk to their children. I have never shielded my boys and I have a very trusting relationship with each one of them. They know they can come to me or their father with any thing.

When children are that young, parents should be asked, but if they're filing a law suit for something like that, they need to get their heads out of their asses and move along. Jay's argument essentially is that homosexuality is wrong because an old book says so. One thing that no one, or at least only a few people, mentions is that the same claims made about homosexuality being disallowed and gay marriage being wrong, are the same claims that were railed at blacks in the military and interracial marriages.


Replace "Sinful homosexuality" with "miscegenation" and replace the phrase "Gays can't be in the military because their presence would disrupt the unit" with "Blacks can't be in the military because their presence would disrupt the unit."
