If you like your VA, you are into entitlements. - The only thing I like is the GI Bill, which I worked for, it's not an 'entitlement' nor is it free (free in terms of money, not free for years of service, risk of life limb or eyesight and such is what I meant.) I'm still fighting for my knee and my elbow but the argument is "You didn't try hard enough to fix it while you were still in." Most asinine argument I've heard. It'll be 3 years now in Sept. So long story short. No, I don't like the VA.

However, of all the years I've been driving, I haven't been in an accident. Not a single one. So I'm paying for a service I don't utilize. Same thing with health insurance, I'm alive and breathing, so I have to pay for being alive. Why is this an argument anyways? Why can't I have the 'freedom of choice' to pay for these services? I get it, people can't afford health insurance and need it, either because they had shitty habits or they were unlucky and born with it. I have my shitty habits too, but I'm not in and out of the hospital consistently to even use this. If I was married sure, I'll get it, but for a single dude (or gal) that stays healthy, pretty much no fuckin point unless there is a freak accident which is a rarity. No thanks on the insurance, money grubbers.

Long story short, the government has no god damn business telling how people need to their lives privately. Laws should be made to protect others from others, not from themselves. Forcing people to buy insurance and telling them what they can and cannot take is the fucking dumbest thing ever. Before anyone even mentions the drug argument, let me give you exhibit A. that everyone at or above 21 has access to. Alcohol. One of the dumbest fucking drugs out there that's legal that has caused more drinking and driving deaths and incidents than any of the other drugs. Maybe if the previous generations wasn't sucking Nixon's dick about the "War on Drugs" we'd be seeing a better system. Anywho, I diverted enough of the topic. I'm a patriot, but I can list a number of problems the country has that makes me sick.
