I'm a machine gunner, love em. 50 Cal was my bread and butter. Spray and pray the American way.
My brother's wife's nephew lost his best friend in Afghanistan the "American Way". The base came under attack. Canadians and Americans ran to the perimeter. They were at the front of the response. He got shot from behind by friendly fire and died.
That is tragic....but friendly fire under stress has always been a fact of war, on all sides.....I am hoping you're not dissing DDS here....not appropriate at all.
My great uncle went into the drink while landing on a carrier after a series of theoretically impossible failures only to have the plane go down like a rock, which again shouldn't have happened.....he's still down there.
I am sorry for your family's loss

The guy that died was my brother's wife's nephew's best friend, so I never knew him. From a different part of Canada.
I am not dissing DDS. I was simply commenting on what DDS said. Yes it is a fact of war. Unfortunately many people wind up in combat that never dreamed they would actually be in a war. They joined the forces for a regular job or a part time job. They get over there scared shitless and they shoot then look. Yes it's a tragedy, but an unnecessary one.

Just so you know, they were laying down at the top edge of a berm looking over it and shooting at the Taliban attackers when he was shot in the back.
Skwerrels are vermin....cute vermin....but vermin nonetheless. These stupid brown skwerrels here are not indigenous and breed year round. If the weather changes slightly and their instincts tell them food may be scarce, they pitch their babies out the nest, then have more the next month. I've picked up many little baby skwerrels that my sons saw to try and save them (when they were younger)....I didn't actually "try" very hard local liberals that save the planet actually have a foster home system set up to take these little bastards but they never have room when I called. Luckily both boys are older now and understand its natures way....bizarre.

Have you tried bribing them? Large quantities of peanut butter covered Ritz crackers placed on your neighbor's property might make the problem theirs instead of yours.

I would suggest making a trail leading away to an entirely different neighborhood. Post pictures of those squirrels.
Properly killed and dressed squirrel is not that far from venison. In fact it tastes closer to beef in my opinion. I'd probably eat more of them if there was a better meat to bone ratio.
