Anyone can comment in game chat. Everyone who does so and is not a player in the game will show up in black font. Check out just about any pantry game, you will see the same comment by JM in all of them. He is a mod who has taken on the task of filling the old games, which we refer to as the pantry.

I have never come across this before, hence my challenge. However a nod to a mod would have saved this unnecessary complaint.

That's fine, but I don't know you (jmyork82) from Adam. So your comment looked suspect when you thanked everyone for joining a game you didn't create and indeed were not taking part in. It's a bit like Vladimir Putin thanking US voters for their support bringing Donald Trump to the White House? If he had, surely everyone would've smelt a rat???

Of course I've seen outsiders commenting on games. But someone thanking everyone for joining and wishing them good luck in a game they haven't created and are not part of seems, well at the very least pointless and quite suspect to me. But I accept the fact that jmyork82 is some kind of panty or whatever and we can now move on. Cheers all.

no worries adban, it probably wont be the last time somebody suspects this. You certainly arent the first person to question why I thank people for joining. The truth is, I do it for 2 reasons. First, i do a lot of inviting, and most of those invites go a lot of the same people. Although I don't expect people to accept my invites all of the time, it's my way of showing gratitude for doing so and to be thankful in general for filling a game. Second, i do it to mark the games as having been through the Pantry.

This did however make me tweak my my message a smidgen: "thank you everybody for joining and filling this game from the Pantry, GL!"

Hopefully that lends a bit more clarity to why I pop in. And hopefully gets people asking what the Pantry is, if they dont already know!

So THANKS!!!
