WOW! I think my IQ has dropped just by reading these last 3 pages.
Can we get back to actually discussing something?

Like whether or not people should restrain themselves to only posting twice per page. I think that would be an interesting topic.

thats a good idea, but what if you are actually discussing something important, like when kyle had girl problems about 12 pages back?

Rev

Post by Scarus »

Speaking of the Rev, why Reverand? Are you preaching to all of us poor lost souls, or is that just a gimmick to get in good with the babes?

That's what I was wondering...if he was "Reverend" just because his last name means "Praise God".

And the 2 posts a page thing could just be a rule of thumb, not a hard rule. Besides, it's not like we could enforce it or anything - it would just be nice if people held back a little from posting 5 two-word entries a page for four pages. If there's actual content to the post - three or four lines of text - it makes it a lot less tedious to wade through.

Seems like an idea to me.

Although ocko's posts are always tedious, no matter what

I disagree. Especially on this thread. It's mostly silly stuff anyways. So you goof around for a bit, big deal. I'm totally opposed to limiting what people can say.

I am all for freedom of speech, but I agree with Scarus, this is a complete shoutbox.

No real coversations go on anymore, and those last few pages dropped my IQ 100 points. :x

I realize that the stated purpose of this thread is to be the longest thread out there, but if that were the true purpose, then why would any one ever make a statement about the thread containing spam?

Being part of the longest thread would be cool but the journey is the most fun part...

Sorry for the rant.

That's just my two cents, now I'm broke again.

limits

Post by Scarus »

Well then, lets start by limiting TF's right to object....lol

Why stop there. Let's trample on everyone's Longest Thread's Rights...lol

As a matter of fact, that might give us something to work on for a while....

A Longest Thread Bill of Rights....lol

I'll start,

1. Right to Assemble, Bear Arms, Freedom of Religion, and The Press, with prohibitions against Assemblies of more than one person, shooting your mouth off, and double posting....

Looks to me as THIS is a real conversation and that the "IQ dropping" banter was the spark for it.

Or it WAS a real conversation, until we started to talk about the right to arm beer and bears.
